This, by the way, (bellow) is a very interesting quote. It says "I will guide you with My eye", it does not say "I will guide you with my words". Look, at a certain point in mans spiritual development there is a shift away from the word, which is a tool, both a handy and horrible tool (when misused), to the eye. Remember, Jesus healed the blind man, gave him is sight back. So that he could see again. He who sees does not need to believe (anymore), cause the truth is evident to the seer. The word is a tool, when used by a master, like Jesus, and understood properly by the disciple, seeing is the gift of God. Jesus is a seer, not a believer. But one might start out as a believer and become a seer.

So how does one learn to see? Go beyond the the mere figure and see the background. See how the words of Jesus manifests in the world, how it shows the underlying pattern of the world.

Psalm 32:8

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.

I struggle with anxiety in social situations, that has caused me to seek out online fellowship. Maybe one day i'll go to church, but till then my fellowship is fine. I can go to church once ot twice a week or come here daily. Daily is better than once a week dont you think?

Please dont take this the wrong way...but the thing is, what your doing isnt healthy. Dont get me wrong i understand social anxiety. I really do. However, seeking online interaction instead isn't dealing with the problem its running from it. Pure and simple. And the longer it takes you to deal with it, the harder it will be to deal with it.

You really cannot replace real fellowship. Now there is nothing that says that fellowship has to be a 20,000 person mega church. Or even a 50 person church. Or even have a church building. Jesus said that when 2 or more are gathered He is there. You dont need to do anything big. Find one or two Biblicly solid friends, preferably ones who share the same struggles and start meeting at least once a week. Study the Bible, pray, talk about your struggles.

My point is...you dont need to start big. Start small. But avoiding it will only harm your walk in the long run. And who knows you may never hit that point of being able to go to a regular church service, but thats ok, you will still have 1 or 2 close friends you can lean on. The Bible doesnt say how many people you have to fellowship with or even where, just that you need to.

You should be thankful of your social anxiety. Accept it, it is good. And it is there for a reason, that you might not be ready see yet.

Maybe you do not want to admit to yourself how horrible people can be, how horrible their language can be, the devastations of the soul their way of communicating can cause.

Jesus said: "“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters— yes, even his own life— he cannot be My disciple."

This contains so much wisdom, it sounds rather crazy, but it is not. But, of course you dont tell them this.

I thought I had social anxiety, but I later found out that the real reason was that I did not like people, and should just stop trying to fit in and communicate with them. And now I am cured.

However, wise people I do not dislike. I would certainly not have disliked Jesus, if I met him. And I also hate my mother and father, brother and sister. If I had a wife and child I would hate them too. So, thats why I dont have a wife and children. I also dislike myself, as one ought to do. This form is limited and not free. And certainly I got to be in this form due to some stupid idea or sin.

That said, the one thing I like about the human vessel is that it will, if one is open to it, and ready to pay attention to whats going on, help one become wise and holy again.

Thank you. Have you considered Matthew 10:37? In my opinion its what Jesus meant.

Does fellowship help us overcome sin in our lives? And, does online fellowship help us to do this? Sorry folks, i know i post a lot of threads, but this has been on my mind and i want input. Thank you.

No, fellowship doesn't help us overcome sin. We will not be perfect until we get to heaven. We should not sin intentionally but we will still sin sometimes without even realizing it. One example is in your car going over the speed limit.

Jesus says we must abide in him to bear fruit. What is that fruit and is fellowship with each other part of abiding in Him?

I was looking at some scriptures and found this one. If bad company ruins good morals, what does good company do? This doesnt necessarily answer my question, its just something to consider.

1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

No its not...it really isnt. Tell me, what makes me tick? Whats my favorite color? What do i do for a living? Theres so much you dont know about me...and the same is true about you-i know nothing about you.

Can you call me in the middle of the night for emergency help? If you get evicted and need help moving at the last second, is there anyone here who can help you?

Is there anyone here who can hold you accountable on here? Im going to say no, because your ignoring any advice that you disagree with. Which isnt just you, its easy to ignore advice from a stranger youve met online, because theyre just words on a page. Lot harder to ignore it from someone who is physically sitting across from you, and believe me, accountability is huge if you want to live a God fearing life.

This is my last post on the topic. You are disobeying Gods word by avoiding any human contact. Flat out. The Bible says not to forsake the fellowship, which is what your doing. It also says to go forth and share Gods love with the world. Which yes can be done online, but can he done so much better in person. You are holding yourself back both mentally and spiritually by hiding at home instead of facing your problems. You do what you feel you must, and I will be praying for you.

God holds me accountable. You cant read peoples minds in church so how can you hold someone accountable? God knows the heart. You say i am sinning but you dont know my heart.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
