The Temple of the Holy Spirit

Scripture says we are the temple of God. This is correctly taken two ways, first we as individuals are the temple, and collectively we are the temple as well. Correct me if I'm wrong. Im looking to discuss all aspects of Gods Temple, both in the OT and NT but I am specifically wondering about how we as individuals are the temple and what understanding of it can be gained by looking at the OT temple, if any. Thank you.

Try 1cor6:29 you are the temple of the holy spirit.

 

Re the temple in the OT.

 

Remember this is but a copy of what Moses saw in heaven. It was not and will never be the temple that is in heaven.

 

Can we learn from it and it's rituals etc. So long as you can see Jesus in those rituals etc then yes.

If I remember correctly, I believe we are taught that our bodies are a temple, and that we should therefore live righteously. That makes sense to me.

We as individuals being the Temple intrigues me. Its like saying we are children of God, we hear it so often we dont realize how profound it is. But are we a temple or just a stone in it?

It comes down to self control and proper thinking, as well as prayer. In my opinion. Maybe it even takes time to learn.

I agree, the only temple i seek is that of the Holy Spirit. Its not made with human hands.
