Something happend to me lastnight, shortly after making another song...

I usually feel great and mighty love for every person in the entire world, less for the the truly wicked, for there like the demons of hell. BUT... even they I love little because i feel they still have a heart in them that can turn to God (truly wicked people) not (demon's) Anyway's after i got done making the song it was as if i couldn't feel love anymore. I usually feel such a great amount of love for every man women and child that I cry for the poor and suffering everyday literally everyday, and would be willing to give my life for each and everyone who lives in the world and in the world next to come. BUT... I tried as hard as I could to cry for people and feel love, even for my own mom, but yet still couldn't no matter how hard i tried feel any love. Barely 1 tear fell from my eye, and i'm worried that the love God has allowed me to feel for the people of this world, has been either tooken away, or lost, please help im very worried. Do you think i will gain back what i have lost. i knew i shouldn't have started writing again, that's the only thing i did different, so it has to be because of that. Wethor because it made me so joyfull I stopped feeling the love for the suffering, because I was so happy I don't know, but i can't stand to live like this and i'm afraid I won't have my love restored.. Please im in desperate need of help. If your wondering what the song is for whatever reason it's not finished and this is it... i started writing it but then after not feeling love changed it to this.


God forgive me, for I have lacked notice of what i have been given, ill pray more stop sinning and start reading more of what has been written. God i love you ill pray constant, ill save the sick and give to the poor, please this time it will stick please help i need to have my love restored. If what iv lost is returned ill be truly blessed, this time i wont fail ill pass through the trial and pass the test. I never gave up and still i wont ,i love you with all my heart and will quit all sins i wont even smoke.

Pure emotional self endulgence. Harsh words but what good do your tears do?

Do you pray intelligently for the needs of the poor?

Does it drive you to do something practical for the poor?

 

If your emotions are running high or low do see your doctor, as has been suggested it could be a result of drug withdrawal or of the drugs you are taking.

 

Otherwise write about your emotions, analysis them through the lyrics you write, to see if they are worth experiencing and how they motivate you to action.

Yeah I don't see a hard connection between writing a song and having these feelings or lack of feelings. I love to write music but haven't had any time to do it lately. I think it's a healthy thing, at least for me it is.

Ask yourself what your situation is. How else do you think you arrived at where you are?

First of all, @faithfull-prophet4040, it’s impossible to be lacking in love if you are a child of God.  Love is a fruit of the Spirit.  Even though you may feel numb or unloving toward others right now, realize that you are experiencing a mood, not a reality.  You can have confidence that if you were put to the test, you would demonstrate Christ’s love to anyone in need.  

I wonder if your numbness comes from fear of failing God.  I notice you make a lot of promises to Him in your song.  Maybe you are fearful that you won’t be able to keep those promises and that He will reject you if you don’t.  Please find reassurance in scripture that your fear is totally unjustified.  

 1 John 4:18

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Ask God to cast out your fear and to help you understand how BIG His love is.  He is the One whose love is perfect.  Remember, He loved us first!  He sent us a Savior long before we were ever born.  Because of His perfect love, we don’t have to fear torment or rejection if we fall short.  Just talk to Him; then brace yourself!    He has already planned many opportunities for you to show His love to others.
