GODLINESS  WITH  CONTENTMENT

 

1 TIMOTHY 6:3  if any man teach otherwise and consent not to wholesome words ---even the words of our  LORD  JESUS  CHRIST  ---and to the doctrine which is according to godliness 

--6:4-- he is proud knowing nothing but doting about questions and strifes of words whereof cometh envy strife railings evil surmisings 

--6:5-- perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds --and destitute of the truth-- supposing that gain is godliness---from such withdraw thyself

 

--6:6-- but godliness with contentment is great gain 

 

PROVERBS 15:4  a wholesome tongue is a tree of life---but--- perverseness therein is a --breach-- in the spirit 

JOHN 6:63  it is the spirit that quickeneth the flesh profiteth nothing the words that  --I speak--  unto you they are spirit and they are life

TITUS 1:1  paul a servant of  GOD  and an apostle of  JESUS  CHRIST  according to the faith of  GODS  elect and the acknowledging of the truth which is after ---godliness---

 

TITUS 2:11  for the grace of  GOD  that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men 

--2:12-- teaching us that ---denying ungodliness--- and worldly lusts we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world 

HEBREWS 13:9  be not carried about with diverse and strange doctrines for it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace not with meats which have not profited them that have been occupied therein 

ROMANS 1:18  for the wrath of  GOD  is revealed from heaven against ---all ungodliness---and unrighteousness--- of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness

2 TIMOTHY 3:16  all scripture is given by inspiration of  GOD  and is profitable ---for doctrine--- for reproof --- for correction --- for instruction in righteousness 

 

EPHESIANS 4:14  that we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive

2 JOHN 1:9  whosoever --transgresseth-- and abideth not in the doctrine of  CHRIST  hath not  GOD  he that abideth in the doctrine of  CHRIST  hath both  THE  FATHER  AND  THE  SON

--1:10-- IF -- there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine receive him not into your house neither bid him  GOD  speed

 

1 TIMOTHY 4:16  take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine ---continue in them--- for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee

How is this collection of verses anything other than a collection of verses.

and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud knowing nothing.  1 Timothy 6:3-4

 

Whoever disobeys the Torah and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ, has not God,
whoever abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
If anyone comes to you (preaching) and does not bring this doctrine, do not give him a greeting.
2 John 1:9-10

 

Therefore.. whoever hears these sayings of mine and does not put them into practice,
is like a fool that built his house upon the sand...
