We are told that: "God said". God declares the end from the beginning. God watches over His word to be sure that His Word will prosper and accomplish His plan and purpose. God is infinite so He humbled himself to create a finite world. David in Psalm 139:16 talks about how God writes the book of our life at or before our conception. The name that God uses for Himself has meaning also as there are different name used in the Bible. Edited July 31, 2021 by JohnR7

Jesus set the example for us in the healing he performed. I first learned from Francis MacNutt. He lived to be 94. He would teach that healing can be slow and gradual but we need to continue to pray for people and be consistent. It is not always the person healed that has faith. In the Bible it could be family, an employer, or friends that have the faith to believe for a person to receive their healing. My wife & son prayed for me once when I was in no shape to pray for myself. Recently we had a friend that was in the hospital with the virus and we prayed from a distance. They did not allow us in the hospital. He recovered and he is doing fine now. James 5:15 tells us: "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." My father was a doctor and he believed in the power of suggestion and the power of positive thinking to heal the body. The prayer of faith goes beyond that. My brother specializes in downs syndrome. They do not actually get healed but there are areas of improvement. Although I know people who were told their child had down's syndrome. They prayed and it ended up so mild I did not even know they had it.
