Covid virus and handling money

Ok. Offer is still open to anyone else who no longer wants their cash. I'll accept any denomination of bill. All the way from ones to 1oo dollar bills. I'll take change too.

I prefer credit card. We pay it off every month. The points we get pay for our hotels and flights. We like to vacation at least twice a year. I don't remember the last time we paid for accomodations.

I know of at least a few people who like to strut around with large wads of cash. Must be one of those "look at me" things. These are not believers I'm referring to.

I could do that- take a few thousand dollars out of the bank, get it all in 100 dollar bills. Shove it in my wallet. Pull it out to flash.

Yeah I could do that in Philadelphia in a bad part of town late in the evening. That's called a death wish . There are people there who would kill you for 20 dollars.

I can't rationalize why anyone would do that unless it was for attention. One of those gangsta things? 

The scary thing about electronic money and things like bitcoin is that someone could get control of your finances electronically and do you in. Russian hackers anyone? Maybe one day it will be your own government. I'm not trying to scare you. Oh, Mr Smith we made a mistake, you have no money. We are all financially just a line of code in a computer. Yet people say there is no connection to the AC in any of this? 

There's lots of room for abuse of a currency that no one physically handles.

It has nothing to do with high society. We are frugal people. Every one has to pay for utilities, food, cleaning supplies, clothes etc, etc. We just pay for all our purchases with a card.

We don't spend any more a month than the average family. We spend the same amount on the card as we would if we were paying cash. The only difference is we get rewarded for purchasing what we would have purchased anyway.

In our estimation, paying by check or cash is throwing money away.
