I find it so odd that people are amazed that could and would talk to us, He Lives in Us, and He would,nt talk to us, how sad that many of you don,t comune with Him, Yes He does lead and quide us and walk and talk with us, its the most rewarding and lifechanging experience that one could ever have, How can you fall in love with someone you don,t know, know this God says His beloved, His Chosen and His Elect will NEVER BE DECIEVED...............I TRUST IN THE LIVING GOD LIVING INSIDE ME......................AND I KNOW HIS VOICE HE HAS ALWAYS TALKED TO ME FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, has He not talked to all His children thought out the whole bible....................................

We are not trying to hammer anyone. Ya'll are probably going to "hammer" me for this but.. this is the point that I take.... One of the commandments of the church is edification.. one of our commandments as Christians it to help each other grow, and to help when others fall astray.. I don't believe that we can hear God audibly until we stand before him at those pearly gates.

The thing is.. If God is not talking to you, or leading you some place.. then who is? I mean, if God can't talk to you audibly.. then who is talking to you? (I am saying this with love ) We are trying to show you what(fine, what we believe) the bible says because we don't want for you to get hurt in anyway. If in fact it is the devil that is talking to you.. we want to be there for you and we want to try and help you get away from that.

It isn't that we are hammering.. we are trying to help

If someone is saying that G-d spoke to him. Using para-phrases of scripture. Maybe G-d is highlighting something. Each revelation, is not always a new one per-se. But perhaps G-d is just saying "Pay attention to this part of my word".

I don't know CG at all, but maybe this is the first, or beginning, of God starting to talk to him(her?) - and for it to be paraphrased Bible verses is God's way to show it is Him talking with His Word so there is 'proof' as it were, of it being a trustworthy word from God. This is just how it came across to me when reading this post.

Or maybe it's like you say, mikado5001, it's just God giving a prod to say "look here! Pay attention!"

In my early morning prayers about three months ago, the Lord told me of a civil war that was going to come about in the church.  Since then, as I have sought deeper understanding on this, I have heard others mention hearing the same thing in context to the Body of Christ being divided with the gay issues and then again with the struggle with the prophetic group in Kansas. 

The Lord prunes His church, and because we are so limited in our perspective of time (like where one could see the civil war if they were looking back over 100 years).

Hearing the Lord is the best thing that ever happened to me.  The Word of God is full of statements that tell us that we hear His voice.  As the matter of fact, we are commanded to hear Him. 

He speaks in our hearts, in our spirits, sometimes almost audiably, but when He speaks, one knows He has spoken.  There is no greater peace than to talk to our Lord.  Please, if you don't "hear" His voice, talk to Him about it.  He desires to speak to you one on one.

New revelation?  no, or yes, sometimes, but it is a communication, back and forth, two sided, ...

again, it is the best thing that ever happened to me and changed my life. 

The Bible is logos.. the written word.

Jesus said, "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."  the word  "word" is rhema..

I am sure that if you read your bible, you are already familiar with His voice but just don't know it.  You know when you read and pray and this certain verse stands out strong, and you remember it throughout the day?  That is the voice of the Holy Spirit bringing it to rememberance.  As you learn and grow, you become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit speaking and guiding you. 

He will tell you things like..  don't go that direction today, appoint this man to that office..  be quiet and wait..  on and on...  you can find the examples of this in the book of Acts.

I understand being guided by the holy spirit, I understand reading scripture that absolutely hits you between the eyes, I understand reading scripture and understanding it for the first time, I understand being silent and being totally open to hearing God, and his revelations, I can understand visions and dreams, But what I don't understand is when some one says I heard an audible voice actually speaking and it said these words.... I think real caution needs to be places here. I could be totally wrong because it is outside of my experience. or maybe I have misunderstood what the original poster means by "God spoke to me". satan is very deceptive.

By the way, What prophetic group in Kansas? You got my curiosity on that one.
