Well he said (and this isn't an exact quote) that sexual awareness has only evolved in the last 100 years or so...so when that was written we weren't as educated.

Can you believe that...I almost fell off my chair...but not before I turned the channel. I can't believe that there are those who condone this.

Hi Angel,

Sadly, yes I believe it. The great falling away from the truth is coming, and from statements such as this, we can see it's well underway.

No wonder God will use fire for the judgment, instead of water. I guess Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't a good enough example for some people though. The real scary part is that the world is preaching tolerance for such things as this, and many others too. It won't be very long now, the handwriting is already on the wall!!

NATO Takes Over Afghan Peacekeeping Force

54 minutes ago Add World - AP to My Yahoo!

By TODD PITMAN, Associated Press Writer

KABUL, Afghanistan - NATO took command of the 5,000-strong international peacekeeping force in the Afghan capital on Monday, a historic move that marks the alliance's first operation outside Europe since it was created 54 years ago.

AP Photo

The alliance took over from Germany and the Netherlands, which have jointly led the International Security Assistance Force, known as ISAF, since Feb. 10.

"ISAF's name and mission will not change," said NATO Deputy Secretary General Alessandro Minuto Rizzo. "But what will change as of today is the level of commitment and capability NATO provides."

The outgoing commander, German Lt. Gen. Norbert van Heyst, handed over control during a formal ceremony in an auditorium inside the capital's Amani High School. The new commander, NATO Lt. Gen. Gotz Gliemeroth, who is also from Germany, accepted a green flag from Van Heyst to mark the change. Gliemeroth's deputy will be Canadian Maj. Gen. Andrew Leslie.

The school auditorium was ringed by scores of armed peacekeepers and ISAF armored cars mounted with machine guns. Bomb-sniffing dogs were on hand to search for any explosives.

Present were President Hamid Karzai, German Defense Minister Peter Struck, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Gen. James L. Jones and a host of diplomats and U.N. officials.

Struck said in a speech that the handover showed the world's commitment to rebuilding war-shattered Afghanistan (news - web sites).

"Afghanistan must not lapse back into anarchy and chaos and must not again become the home of global terror, as was the case under the rule of the Taliban," Struck said.

"What the people of Afghanistan wish for is a stable peace. They are pinning great hopes on the international community. The support of NATO for ISAF... is a visible expression of the fact that the people of Afghanistan will not be let down."

NATO is taking over command in large part to end the arduous task of searching for a new "lead nation" every six months to run ISAF.

NATO spokesman Mark Laity told reporters in Kabul on Sunday that a single, open-ended command by NATO would add more continuity to the mission as well as an institutional memory. Most commanders, after learning the intricacies of Afghanistan, have been rotated out after six-month tours-of-duty.

ISAF will continue operating exactly as before, with the "same mission, same mandate, same banner," he said.

The 30-nation force was created in December 2001 to bolster security in Kabul in the wake of the U.S.-led war that toppled the Taliban, which had granted haven to Osama bin Laden (news - web sites)'s network.

About 90 percent of ISAF's troops are from NATO countries, though 15 of the 30 contributing countries are

The Difference A Day Makes

This is interesting. The EUobserver is reporting German defense minister Peter Struck said his country would support NATO troops going into Iraq (Read about it here>>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?mail...mpleted/ignored

Not only that, Struck said Germany would even be willing to send in German troops.

If you recall, Germany was the nation who said they wouldn't be willing to send German troops into Iraq even if the UN Security Council passed a resolution supporting the action.

Germany's strong anti-war stance startled and angered the Bush administration. So much so, Bush refused to even speak with Gerhard Schr

"What Do You See?"

Once God asked the Jewish prophet Jeremiah, "What do you see, Jeremiah?"

"I see a rod of an almond tree," said Jeremiah.

God answered, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it" (Jeremiah 1:11-12 New American Standard Bible).

This short exchange has always intrigued me. It was as if God was first testing Jeremiah's ability to see the way God wanted him to see before putting him to work as God's special spokesperson.

You see, our ability to see things the way God sees things is of first importance. Until we see things the way God sees things, we are of little use to Him.

How do we learn to see the way God sees? There is only one way -- by getting to know God's word. When God asked Jeremiah that question, the word of God was being delivered to you and me through Jeremiah. The prophet wrote down what God said and now we can read God's word to Jeremiah in the Bible.

What does God say? God tells us that He is watching over His word to perform it. In other words, we need to know God's word -- the Bible -- because that's what God is watching over to perform.

Here's my point: We need to know our Bibles better. Why? Because our Christian media and churches are being filled today with teachers who claim God speaks through them, and yet they can't see things according to what God has said before. The result is, their followers aren't being properly warned about the coming wolf.

Let me explain: I got on this issue of the importance of seeing correctly because of an article posted in the EUobserver. It was about a Danish political leader named Torben Lund who looked at the EU's new constitution and actually saw what it meant -- a loss of democracy and national sovereignty. Lund said, "I am not sure the citizens are in any way aware of what's going on. All the changes are duly labeled in calming phrases" (Read about it here>>>>>>>>>>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?mail...mpleted/ignored

On the other hand, Henrik Dam Kristensen, the person who may replace Lund, sees things different. He says, "I totally disagree with Torben's analysis."

What do I see? I believe Torben Lund has it right. The EU's new constitution is leading to a loss of democracy and national sovereignty. Why do I see it that way? Because, God's word tells us, in the end times, there will be a revival of the old Roman Empire. And, from this revived Roman Empire, the most terrible dictator the world has ever seen will rise to power -- the Antichrist.

I believe this is what we're seeing. And, God's people should be made aware of it.

You see, God is still looking over His word to perform it.

Inclusion of Sin, Exclusion of Power

The buzz word today is "inclusion." On both sides of the Atlantic political leaders are using that word like never before. The idea is, the more different kinds of people who get involved with the political process, the better off the majority will be.

Although it concerns us, such thinking from our secular leaders is to be expected. After all, the Bible teaches the secular are held captive by Satan to do his will. But, when that buzz word is heard coming from our church leaders, it's time for us Christians to get seriously concerned.

Evidently, the (so-called) Rev. William Barnwell is comparing the Episcopal Church's acceptance of a openly gay bishop to his own acceptance by the church after he divorced and remarried. Barnwell acknowledged what the church did for him was against the teachings of both the Apostle Paul and Jesus, but praised the church for doing it anyway.

This is how Barnwell put it: "I could argue that the overwhelming emphasis on inclusion in the New Testament trumps the two or three passages from St. Paul that may condemn homosexuality; just as his sublime passages on freedom trump his support of slavery" (Read about it here>>>>>>> http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/index.ssf?/ba...75415611180.xml

What a bunch of hog wash. This apostate clergyman even felt free to twist Paul's teaching about slavery to help make his ridiculous point.

This reminds me of Paul's warning to young Timothy. Paul said, " But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come." After providing Timothy with a list of the ungodly traits people will have in the last days, Paul ended his description saying, "holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power, and avoid such men as these" (2 Timothy 3:1-5 New American Standard Bible).

You see, the Bible teaches when we include sin into our lives, we exclude the power of God. And as this principle applies to individuals, it also applies to churches.

No matter what the (so-called) Rev. William Barnwell thinks, this is our bottom line:

The inclusion of sin, is the exclusion of God's power.

The choice is ours.

EU/US Secret Treaties

You may recall in October I reported that the EU's Commissioner for External Affairs, Chris Patten, traveled to America with quite an interesting offer. Patten actually appeared to offer the United States all the kingdoms of the world. Here's what I wrote:

Quoting directly from the Euobserver, "He (Chris Patten) thus suggested a model in which the US could be the leading participant in a system of co-operative global governance" (http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?sid=9&aid=7806).

The following June the EU's High Representative, Javier Solana, presented his new security doctrine to the EU heads. And, as I've been reporting, the amazing thing about Solana's new doctrine was how everybody loved it. Even the states who had been quarreling loved it, such as Germany and the US.

Just a few days after Solana presented his new doctrine Solana and some of the EU heads went to Washington for the EU/US summit. At this summit an important treaty was signed. According to the reports, the new agreement allowed the EU and the US to work closer together to combat terror groups, weapons of mass destruction and rogue states.

In other words, it looked like the EU had made that offer of all the kingdoms of the world to the US again at the US/EU summit. And, this time the EU's offer was accepted.

But, what exactly did the Bush administration accept? The reports that are now coming out suggest Bush may have actually secretly signed on to an agreement that would subject American citizens to EU laws and EU courts (Read about it here>>>>>>> http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=34069

Solana titled his new security doctrine, A Secure Europe in a Better World.

Now Solana's better world may be closer than we think.

Fischer Warns Small States

Is this race for who will become the EU's new foreign minister real? Or, is it just another example of the old good cop bad cop ploy?

The Convention is over and it's being said a delicate compromise was reached in the power struggle over who will control the new, super EU. Most observers see this power struggle between the EU's smaller member states and the EU's larger member states.

The stickiest issue is the new EU presidency. Most of the larger states want a longer term president within the Council. However, since this means doing away with the current six-month rotating presidency, most of the smaller states are against this idea. Besides believing a long term president within the Council would give too much power to the larger states, the smaller states all love their turn in the spot light.

However, it's my view the new foreign minister called for in the EU's new constitution should be an equally sticky issue. This is because, as far as foreign policy is concerned, this new foreign minister could become more powerful than the new president. But, for some strange reason this isn't the case. On both sides of this power struggle there appears to be almost total agreement on the new foreign minister proposal.

The word is two powerful personalities are competing for this important job -- German foreign minister Joschka Fischer and EU High Representative Javier Solana. However, I suspect the decision has already been made.

You see, whoever gets this job will have to be able to work well with NATO and Washington. And Fischer recently angered Washington to the core by opposing the United States and Britain in the UN Security Council over the Iraqi war. On the other hand, Solana recently pleased Washington to the core with his new security doctrine that called for preserving the important Atlantic Alliance.

Now it's being reported Fischer is warning the smaller EU states not to tamper with the new constitution. And, he's also calling for a stronger European military -- which in his opinion strengthens the Atlantic Alliance (Read about it here >>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?sid=9&aid=12441

This is what I think: I think we may be seeing the good cop bad cop ploy being used on Washington. Fischer is the bad cop, and Solana is the good cop.

And the choice has already been made.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
