The EU Empire

Hang on brothers and sisters in Jesus, our world is changing. As you know, yesterday I only posted links to news reports without my usual commentary. However, when taken together the implications for our world of these three reports are breathtaking. Now I've found another summit brewing -- an EU/Pakistan summit (Read about it here>>>> http://www.hipakistan.com/en/detail.php?ne...=&f_type=source

So, what's going on here? Well, as you may know, I believe we're seeing the fulfillment of the Bible prophecy about the revival of the old Roman Empire. And, this revival is now taking form in the expanding European Union.

I'm still astounded about Robert Cooper becoming Javier Solana's right-hand man. Solana, as you know, is the EU's first High Representative of Common Foreign and Security Policy. Do you think Solana's title is long? Cooper's title is even longer: Director General for External and Politico-Military Affairs, Council of the European Union.

Why does Solana's hiring of Cooper's astound me? For several reasons: First, Solana is supposed to be just a representative -- or foreign minister -- himself. So, why does Solana need a foreign minister -- Cooper? The answer, of course, is Solana must actually be something more.

Second, Cooper has been long advocating what he calls a "new imperialism." In other words, Cooper would like to see the creation of an EU empire. And, he seems to be in favor of employing what ever method is necessary to create it -- including using force and breaking current international law. And third, and more importantly for we students of prophecy, Cooper's vision of empire building has apparently become Solana's foreign policy strategy.

Now, some may reason it's only my interpretations of the prophecies that make me suspicious about the EU's intentions. Well, even before Solana hired Cooper, back in April 2002, a secular writer by the name of Brian Denny was warning about Cooper's and the EU's imperialist intentions. Denny said:

Yes indeed, we students of Bible prophecy have long expected this revival of the Roman Empire. And, Solana's hiring of Cooper and the recent flurry of strategic summits may now reveal even to non-believers that what the Bible said was coming, is actually coming.

Prodi picks 13 projects to kickstart EU economy

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Commission President Romano Prodi has drawn up a hand-picked list of Trans-European transport projects to be given top priority in the EU's growth plan.

The list, seen by the EUobserver, has been whittled down to 13 transport and research projects from an initial list of 29.

It is likely to cause controversy for the countries it leaves out - but is good news for those regions included. Work on the chosen projects is expected to begin very shortly - maybe as early as 2004.

US Fears EU Superstate

As I write, London police are preparing for masses of anti-Bush marchers who will jam their city's streets next week when president George W. Bush visits with prime minister Tony Blair. What will they be protesting about? They'll be protesting British support for what they see as an American led war against Iraq for oil.

And here's where it gets interesting. The EUobserver is reporting president Bush is planning on using the trip to let the other European leaders know the United States doesn't want to see an EU superstate emerge from their Inter-governmental Conference going on in Rome (Read about it here>>>> http://www.euobserver.com/index.phtml?aid=13483

Does this mean Bush and Blair, both professing Christians, understand Bible prophecy the way we do here on FulfilledProphecy.Co. I don't think so. You see, since the meeting of the Western world's political and military leaders at the Munich Conference last February, the writings been on the wall. Europe and American's 50-year marriage is over. And, NATO will be divided between them.

Perhaps the most alarming part of this for America were the recent EU summits with China and Russia. Both of these summits were of great strategic importance. You see, with China the EU secured help for their Galilieo space project. Galileo is the EU's rival to American's GPS satellite system. Question: Why does the EU suddenly need their own GPS system?

With Russia it is being reported the EU secured help in the areas of police, science and technology. Question: What's not being reported? How did the EU manage this deal with Russia? Yes, the writings on the wall. The US fears this EU superstate.

Brussels, not Rome, sets EU-Israel policy - Solana

ROME, Nov 11 (Reuters) - European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said on Tuesday Brussels, not Rome, sets the bloc's agenda and denied Israel could be getting a mixed message because of dissonant noises from current EU president Italy.

Italy's recent contrasting foreign policy comments have highlighted the sometimes difficult relationship between Brussels and the rotating EU presidency, which will be held by Italy until January.

"The official message is the message given by me, by the European Union," Solana said during an interview with two news agencies in Rome.

"No third country has any doubt about the European Union position... since most of the positions are written beforehand."

Last week, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Gianfranco Fini called Israel's construction of a wall through occupied territories in the West Bank an act of self-defence even though the EU has consistently opposed it, raising questions about who influences policy.

"Our position is clear," Solana said on Tuesday. "We do not think this (the wall) is the appropriate thing to do ... considering that this is dividing cities and people."

The comments come at a sensitive time ahead of an EU-Israel Cooperation Council meeting. EU envoy Marc Otte has been snubbed by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon over his contacts with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.

"I think we will find a mechanism to overcome that difficulty, because when you have someone whose main task is to go back and forth between two sides and he is not received by one of the sides, it's rather bizarre," Solana said.

He said the rotating EU presidency had left some room for misunderstandings. Last week Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi staunchly defended Russian actions in Chechnya and the handling of legal action against oil giant YUKOS that prompted an EU rebuke.

"I think that was an exceptional situation...," Solana said, adding that Berlusconi needed to bear in mind that he could not take off the hat of the rotating presidency entirely even when speaking on bilateral matters.

He said such conflicts would likely be eliminated when the EU accepts 10 new members next year as changes to the presidency were also being discussed.

A couple of very interesting things in the above article. I'll put the quotes in bold print.

We know from Ezekiel 38/39 that Israel will indeed be a land of unwalled villages in the tribulation. It's also easy to see why they don't want the walls up. The globalists want a one world community, no walls to divide into borders, nations, and sovereignty. They invision a brotherhood of man utopia, but walls and borders would hinder such plans.

In Daniel chapter 7, the little horn will subdue three of the bigger horns. Here we see Solana putting the current 6 month rotating president in his place. Berlusconi is definitely out of bounds, and stepping in Solana's territory. President Berlusconi is also a billionaire, but he's dreaming if he thinks Solana will be pushed around.

Italy is one of the ten member nations in the WEU, of which Solana is the Secretary-General. He's also the President of the EU Council, and the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, which by the way, gives him absolute authority to sign international treaties on behalf of the European Union.

He may be smaller than a king, but he has the power to stop the rotating presidents dead in their tracks. There is not a single man in the EU that can equal the power that he holds.

Solana In Control

I don't know a news report that ever shocked me more. Reuters is reporting High Representative Javier Solana told reporters that Brussels was in control of the European Union, not Rome (Read about it here>>>> http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L11206392.htm

I couldn't believe what I was reading. You see, what Solana was actually saying was he was the man in charge of things, not the EU's president Silvio Berlusconi.

As I thought about the implication of Solana's words, my mind returned to a recent encounter Solana had with Berlusconi. Berlusconi was in one of his goofy moods. When it came time for Berlusconi to introduce the EU's High Representative, Berlusconi looked at Solana and quipped something like, "You're not so high. In fact, you're as small as I am."

I wondered what Berlusconi meant -- if his remarks were really something more than just an attempt at humor. You see, there is a power struggle going on between the EU's institutions, and between the member states. And Berlusconi, head of a member state, had also just joked the same way about his arch rival EU Commission president Romano Prodi. Now he was doing the same thing to Solana who headed the EU Council.

Although Solana wouldn't have shown it, he probably felt very insulted by Berlusconi's suggestion that he wasn't so high. It was as if Berlusconi was reminding both Prodi and Solana that the member states were still in charge of the EU. And, I believe Solana would have clearly seen it as a put-down of his authority as High Representative.

Back to that shocking Reuters report. I think Solana may now have set the matter straight between himself and Berlusconi. Like I said before, Solana was actually saying he -- the High Representative -- was the man in charge of things in the EU, not Berlusconi the EU president. And, so no one misunderstood what he meant, Solana restated his message by saying, "The official message is the message given by me, by the European Union."

Perhaps now people will believe Constance Cumbey's and my warnings that a new power center has been created in the EU with the office of High Representative -- a dangerously undemocratic power center that overshadows the presidency. And, like we've been reporting, this power center was created by implementing the 10-nation Western European Union's Assembly Recommendation 666.

Thanks Rolling Thunder and tsth. That all makes total sense and thanks for putting it in a format that I can understand. I am simply amazed at your guys ability to connect all these dots. I have a question. As I read through scripture and all of this and I understand that all these things must come to pass before Christ's return I have to wonder about the contradictions in what people pray for. Or what appears to be a contradiction. On one hand all cry out for the soon return of our Savior. But even while knowing that horrible things must come before Christ comes everyone urges us to pray that these things don't happen. I get a little confused about it all, like if I'm praying for Christ to hurry, then are I not praying for the tragedies to hurry also? And since it is all foretold isn't it a little wierd that so many preachers are encouraging people to pray for things to come to a peaceful solution through our governments? Is it all contradictory?
