Today, most scholars are waiting for the revival of the ancient Roman Empire, the EU, to become the worlds final Empire, which will lead the world into a global government.  This revival is the feet of iron and clay.  And just as legs are different than feet, so will this revived empire be different from its predecessor.  Most scholars though, are waiting to see a strong military superpower to rival the U.S., but that's not the way it appears to be going.  Instead, the EU is becoming the worlds largest and strongest economy and a very strong player in the peace process.

Doesn't seem to me that Europe is so terribly unified. They have far too much parochialism going on. Some of them don't even want to use the euro.

Most Important Speech

Last month, Time Magazine revealed its annual list of 100 of the world's most influential people. And, sure enough, Time's list for 2005 includes the EU's Javier Solana. You will find him under the heading, Leaders and Revolutionaries (Read about it here)>>>> http://press.arrivenet.com/bus/article.php/618038.html

Well, this month it happened again. Another major publication did the same -- this time in Europe. The Polish Gazeta Wyborcza gave Javier Solana its Man of the Year 2005 Award.

I understand why Solana was chosen. Solana continues to score diplomatic winners. For example, when the Ukraine recently found itself balancing precariously between Europe and the Russian Federation, it was Solana's diplomacy that tipped the former Soviet nation away from Russia and towards becoming a member of the EU. And, although there hasn't been much recognition by the public, there evidently are many in the press who have come to appreciate Solana's achievements.

This brings me to what I think may be -- as far as Bible prophecy is concerned -- one of the most important speeches ever given. Solana is in Warsaw accepting his award. And, in this one speech, we find the necessary elements for the final events of prophecy. I recommend that you read the entire speech (Read speech here)>>>> http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:kuBYJdo...+award%22&hl=en

After reviewing the history of Poland and the European project, Solana gives us his own three reasons for a united Europe. Solana says:

"For me, the case for Europe rests essentially on three arguments. First, to exorcise the demons of our past. Second, to extend the zone of peace and prosperity across our continent. And third to deal with a borderless and chaotic world."

Here we basically find the EU's so-called "Solana Doctrine" being revised a bit for his Polish audience. The "demons" Solana is referring to are the European wars of the past. Poland, as you know, was one of the nations that suffered the most in past wars. The "zone of peace" isn't a new concept. It is what his new European Neighborhood Policy is about. And, his "borderless and chaotic world" is just another reference to his proposed joint EU/US war against weapons of mass destruction and rogue states.

Then, in this speech, Solana begins talking about something that may have huge implications as far as prophecy is concerned. He begins describing a coming seven-year period when the EU will begin engaging their neighbors with significantly increased economic and political resources to create that "zone of peace." And, that "zone of peace" includes God's little nation Israel. Solana says:

"Since last year, we have been putting flesh on the bones of our European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), which applies to Eastern Europe, the southern Caucasus but also the Mediterranean. In less than two years - incredibly fast by Brussels standards - we have moved from general principles to tailor-made action plans which are being agreed with our partners."

As I've been reporting, these "action plans" are the EU's way of strengthening the failing Barcelona Process agreement that Solana negotiated back in 1995. This agreement was between the 15 EU nations and 12 Mediterranean nations. In other words, the purpose of Solana's ENP is to confirm his previous covenant with many nations. And, it will be for a seven-year period. Solana says:

"The Neighbourhood policy will engage significant resources: the offer of a stake in the internal market plus

Personally speaking........Thunder's posts, whether his own or the posts of Herb's articles........are very helpful to me. They are also very relevent to what the original post's subject addressed. This last article posted was quite possibly the biggest clue to who or at least who's position we ought to be looking out for. We don't need to know who the AC will be but, it does give good insights to the timeline of prophecy and makes us (if we are at all paying attention and want to "see the changing of the seasons") desire to be prepared and literally LOOKING for the coming of Christ!!!!!! WE ARE TO BE AWARE OF THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES. And if ANYTHING shows the signs of our times.....it's this European leader who rising to the top has just begun and whose goal is to bring peace to the world under one unified group of leaders ultimately under one head........himself. Even going as far as outlining a seven year time period in which this could occur!!!!!!!

I would say that.......IN MY OPIONION........ALL of his postings are helpful, relevant and very on target to the bible prophecy coming to pass more and more every day in these last days.

In Christ,

Lorie

Did something I posted offend you, or are you just looking for another good for nothing argument? If it's the latter, I'd advise you to go swim in a different pond. After all, no one is forcing you to swim in this one.

German defence minister knocks NATO

13.05.2005 - 09:44 CET | By Honor Mahony

German defence minister Peter Struck has criticised NATO saying it must become a stronger forum for political and strategic dialogue between transatlantic partners.

"That was certainly not the case very often in the last years", said Mr Struck. He said that while NATO had made progress with its military transformation, it had yet to place value on being more political.

Mr Struck made the comments before the think tank, the German Society for Foreign Policy, at an event looking at the challenges ahead for the alliance, according to German daily S

Ethical question marks over EU Constitution

12.05.2005 - 18:41 CET | By Lucia Kubosova

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - The Catholic Church has officially endorsed the EU Constitution but concerns among some groups remain about its possible implications for future decisions on issues such as abortion, euthanasia or women priests.

While leaving it up to believers to decide how to vote in referendums, Brussels-based Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community (COMECE) has previously expressed its support for the new treaty.

But several pro-life and religious activists argue the Charter of Fundamental Rights, which is a part of the European Constitution, includes ambiguous definitions of some human rights, which could lead to their interpretation by the EU top court in a way that runs counter to traditional Christian principles.

At the same time, feminist and pro-abortion lobby groups are making it clear they want to use the provisions of the Charter to extend human rights protection in controversial areas, especially in countries with stricter legislation.

Whose rights to protect first?

John Smeaton from the Society for the protection of the unborn children, a London-based NGO, argues that the Charter of Fundamental Rights does not satisfy the expectations of many.

"It is not enough to express a protection of human dignity, while at the same time making possible to violate it through further jurisdiction", he told the EUobserver.

According to Mr Smeaton, once the Charter becomes a legally binding part of the new EU Constitution, Europe could see a similar development to the United States where the rights of women and unborn children have come into conflict.

He says the rights of women have become prioritised leading to pro-abortion rulings.

Similar concerns have been voiced about assisted suicide with respect to the provision on the right for "human dignity" and "mental integrity", according to Mr Smeaton.

Noel Treanor, COMECE secretary general, admits that these fears remain in the Catholic and other churches in Europe.

But he pointed out that the Constitution sets out the areas of competence between the EU and member states and that issues like abortion or euthanasia are matters for individual countries to decide upon.

"However, the future is never totally foreseeable, one does not know in which direction the jurisprudence can develop".

"The church will continue to make a vital contribution to the public debate on these issues", Mr Treanor told the EUobserver.

Pro-life activists disagree, according to John Smeaton. "What we

Nope. Just trying to understand your viewpoint. :24: And some independent thinking would be nice as well.

Lorie,

I've asked Mr. Thunder, and many others several times to produce one scripture that ties the origin of the anti-christ to the EU or Rome. Nobody has accomplished that. There isn't one verse of scripture that anybody can produce, without manufacturing one, that links the EU or Rome to any future prophecies.

He considers this thread a thread of his own and doesn't like opposition to his view and doesn't care to confront the issue because he say's he doesn't have time and that we should start a thread of our own. .

I challenge anybody to quote a single verse of scripture that shows that the EU will become the origin of the antichrist...and I will produce five to show his origin comes from those who are Israel's long time enemy, ie. Arab and Muslim.

Consider the scriptures for yourself, not some theory that comes from prejudiced Protestants. That's where the Rome, EU theory comes from.

Be leary of believing that the anti-christ will become a peacemaker for Isreal. Every verse of prophecy that I read states the he will be a war monger that the name of Israel be no more in rememberance.

God bless in what you do,

Reverend Turmoil

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
