NO, unbelievers who are ignorant I have compassion for, newbies that come here and try to push what sounds like a new age agenda I don't condone.

Zayit ~ Wow, really? You know I read about head-covering and I justified it too by saying it wasn't for now, I did that for years, yet the Spirit kept nudging me about it, and kept bringing it to mind, till finally I was obedient. :So now should I presume I didn't hear right? It wasn't meaningless to him, in fact he has shown me how meaningful it is.

Ringo~ Yes, YOU should definitely presume that.

G-d has not changed, he still made man first and the woman came from the man, the man is head over the woman and Yeshua is head over the man and the Father is head over all. The L-RD wanted me to signify this relationship, so I obeyed him. It is sad that you would give credit to HaSatan for doing something like that when it has been his agenda always to confuse about the order of creation.

I heard right, it took years of convincing me , but the L-RD was patient, and now I am to believe you? IDTS!

I meant to post this last night - but had internet connection issues - so here it is, a bit late:

******************************************************************

So you don't believe Paul is trying to teach us something here?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Honestly, no.

Paul is not trying to teach something?

I say, let's ALL (e.g., the other 99% ... LOL!) get filled to overflowing, and then we will make judgments about these types of issues.  I have a sneaking suspicion that they won't seem near as important, then, as they do now!  Glory!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It's attitudes like this that make everyone els think us Charasmatics are a bunch of "dessert-lovers."

If we are not producing fruit and teaching each other how to produce fruit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control - note the highlighted ones! ) - what good is our walk?

You are not interested in hearing, or learning. I do not have anything further to say to you. Your heart is closed and your mouth is open; that's a deadly combination.

To those of us in modern culture who are considering this question merely on the basis of what is written in the Bible, the idea of wearing a hat is SILLY!

I would never want to malign something that is meaningful to a person, but bearing that in mind, we need to move as fast as we can from religious terms and definitions.

The kingdom of God is about the beautiful Holy Spirit breaking forth with singing within us, and in all of creation.

Actually, I remember a bible class we had a church a couple years ago on Paul's letters to the Corinthians.

I apologize if I was unclear here.  But I do believe that Jesus has liberated women, and men. Through Him, we have freedom we did not have before.

If one looks at the society and culture during Jesus' life, I do believe He liberated women at that time; for example, no other Jewish man would have spoken to the woman at the well the way He did; no other "religious leader" would have allowed a prostitute to come in and wash his feet with her perfume and her hair.  That is what I mean by Jesus' liberating women.

I can tell you personally that Jesus has liberated me from the lies and deceit of Satan, and much misery from my past.  Hallelujah, He has liberated me!! :noidea:

And as far as Jesus not caring; uh, okay, forgive me for using a figure of speech.   I'll rephrase it:  I do not believe that Jesus is concerned with whether or not I wear a hat or head covering to church; I do believe that He is concerned, and does CARE, about the condition of my heart.

I believe all of this falls into the same category as much of Paul's other teachings; while we might be free to do something, if it hurts us or hurts someone else if we do or don't do it, then we should always choose to do that which glorifies God.

Therefore, my salvation is not dependent on whether or not I wear a head covering!  But, if doing so brings glory to God and helps to win someone to the Kingdom, then I should do it.

Elizabeth,

I agree with your above quote! :emot-highfive::thumbsup:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
