The lake of fire is hell. Hell will be in a totally different place than the new heaven and new earth.

The Lake of Fire is named "Gehenna" and is used interchangeably with "The Second Death", "perdition" and "destruction". Since "the Lake of Fire" is a description, we must turn to "Gehenna" and "perdition" for a description.

1. "Gehenna" comes from the "Valley of Hinnom" - the valley on the south side of Jerusalem where the city's refuse is thrown and burnt. It is also the place where the Canaanites, and later Israel, caused their children to pass through fire alive to appease the fire-god-demon Molech. The picture it gives is a place right next to God chosen place, but declared useless for the intended purpose and good for fire only. In Matthew 10:28 we get a hint of what it is. It is the STATE of a living man who has extreme psychological and physical suffering inflicted by God.
2. "Perdition" in the Greek does not mean annihilation. It means "exquisite lack of well-being". It carries the connotation of a ship that has sunk. It is still a ship but as it lies on the bottom of the ocean instead of sailing on top of it, it experiences an acute sense of failure.

Theses two definitions define the STATE of a living man who is suffering terribly. Both Isaiah 66 and Mark 9 describe this suffering as "their worm will not die and their fire will not be quenched". The word "their" indicates two things. (i) It is personal. Each man condemned to this STATE gets his own fire and own worm, and (ii) it indicates God's justice. Each man gets that measure of suffering they deserve.

The Lake of Fire was made for Satan and is co-rebel angels. It is a disgrace that the first creature to enter it is a man - the Beast.

Gehenna is translated as "hell" by translators. This is misleading because "hell" is a concept, but "Gehenna" is a STATE. The PLACE "Hades", a subterranean cavern for the souls of dead men, is also translated by some translators as "hell". This is misleading because "hell" is a CONCEPT while Hades is a PLACE.

On the New Earth, God will dwell IN men (the Church), He will dwell WITH men (Israel) and this dwelling - the Church will, with God and His Christ, rule the Nations who were all resurrected at the White Throne. Each member of the Nations will have been judged according to their works (Rev.20:12-13). According to Isaiah 66:24 if a member of the Nations was found to have actively gone against God, he will suffer "perdition". He is counted as defiled and may never visit God's abode. On the other hand, a simple sheepherder boy, who looked after sheep until at age ten he was killed by Genghis Khan, will not be found to have actively gone against God. He will be allowed to visit God's dwelling and derive the pleasures involved. And thus is God's Covenant of Promise fulfilled in that through Jesus, Seed of Abraham, will "all the families" of the earth be blessed (note; NOT "all men").

Isaiah 66:24 says that the men and women who went against God will be in plain view and their agony will be beheld by men. The term, "Lake of Fire" is derived from God's previous judgments of the earth when everything was covered by water (Gen.1 & Gen.6-8). In God's Covenant with Noah, God promised not to cover the earth with water again. But those judged worthy of "perdition" are in a "Lake" - this time, of FIRE.

Because of a thousand years of Roman Catholic mythology, the word and concept of "hell" as a PLACE has been ingrained in Christians. "A little leaven leavens the whole lump". But the truth is that Gehenna is a STATE of living men who are suffering terribly as the go about normal daily tasks. Notice that no man goes to the Lake of Fire in a state of death. The rich man in Luke 16 was in Hades, not Gehenna. He had not yet been judged, thus his suffering was most probably because he carried his law-breaking nature with him. According to 2nd Corinthians 5:1-5 we all "groan" in death. That is why Lazarus had to be "comforted", and why God has created "Abraham's Bosom" for His people. But Hades, PLACE of the souls of dead men, is NOT the Lake of Fire.

I disagree with you placing (Two Groups) of Gods people in the Eternal Kingdom, as you continue to push (Dual Covenant Theology) Jew/Church

God has one people, his Church, where there is neither Jew/Greek

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. Hades is a different place than hell. Hell is not open as yet. It will be opened at the end of the 1000 year millennium. Hades is a temporary holding place where the unbeliever souls go now. They are waiting in Hades to be judged at the Great White Throne judgment.
