Those who want to run and hide and pray in their closets need wake-up calls more than anyone else...

"....he who has an ear let him hear"

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

How Sad, if we would all spend more time on our knees praying we would be far far better off. You should try it some time, NO, you should try it all the time.

Zayit, my first question is who made Mr. Koenig the judge of which denominations teach replacement theology? What criteria does he use to make that judgement?

Secondly, you said:

I love him more than all of you, take that as you will, but I am not worthy of him if I don't. And that's the truth!

I do not think that this type of statement has any place on this forum, and if you truly feel that way I'm very sorry for you.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You're sorry for me for taking the word of my master as .....Gospel? The Truth? What?

Sorry my love for G-d comes first, which is TRUTH, and then to share that with others, which I do and get this kind of response. I would love to stop but he has not approved that. I'll have to deal with you and You'll have to deal with me. Truth hurts I know, I don't think its ever easy. But I would rather people hate me now on earth than to confront me at the throne asking why didn't you tell me?

As far as Koenig, he is not the first nor last to know this, and I am sure he has mutitudinal resources at his fingertips to compile this information. Have you visited his website?

This could be taken two ways. Do you mean that your love for God is greater than everyone else's love for God? Or do you mean that you love God more than you love everyone else?

Ahhh...those wacky Baptists...

I knew one Baptist preacher (Bob Ross was his name) who was of the "King James Only" ilk.

He mentioned how the NIV translates...I can't find the verse from John...that goes "in my Father's House are many rooms". Pastor Ross pointed out how the KJV translated rooms as "mansions". "See how much better that is" he said or something like that.

I don't know, a room in Heaven is quite adequate for me.

Really, this thread is not about Baptists ( despite the title) nor Catholics, Luthersn, etc, but is about the body of the L-rD as a whole in AMERICA in relationship to scripture and prophecy. Please, enough offence has been taken over this. Please all, read this thread in LIGHT of the scriputre I posted first, before the article. , PLEASE!

Your thread was fine... the controversy was started by one insecure person who took it personal and ran with it...So don't worry - thanks for the article it was very enlightening!

The literal rendering is "dwelling places." I don't think the grandeur of the dwelling places is the point of the passage.

Zayit, I think its more of your abrasive style of communicating rather than the content that offends people.

Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

It isn't enough to simply speak the truth. It must be done so in love.

Speaking the truth isn't the synonymous with speaking in love, else this exhortation would be meaningless.

It is possible to speak the truth is anger, arrogance, hatred, and many other less-desirable attitudes.

The fruit of the Spirit is love. And, how is love recognized?

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gentleness, meekness, goodness, peace and joy. That's the evidence of the Spirit of the Lord working in a person's life.

So, saying "that's the truth... take it how you like" is not exactly speaking the truth in love.

I apologize Zayit, I took what you said in a different way. It appeared to me that you were saying that you love Him more than we love Him.

As for the rest, I would still like to know by what criteria nearly every major Christian denomination except for Baptist is said to teach replacement theology. I am a member of PCUSA, and believe me I am aware of many huge problems within our denomination, but I do not think it is fair to say that the denomination teaches replacement theology.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
