The names and faces and even flags change, but the original Babylon is at the heart and epicenter of all that us unholy.

As I've mentioned many times, I believe Mystery Babylon of Revelation to be the idolatrous heathen and pagan beliefs and practices that originated in Babylon with Nimrod. Passed down through the table of nations, kingdoms, and ages to the present day.

The advent of Constantine and the church-state continued on through the Holy Roman Empire. Drunk with the blood of the saints, partially referring to the millions during the inquisitions, crusades, and persecutions of the dark ages.

Thank you each for responding on this.  I have done my best throughout my life to be aware of other religions and their teachings.  I can understand a bit of the other religions that do not follow our Christian God, our Trinity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.  I understand that they follow a false god created from the evilness of men.  I understand that evil has permeated into the man-made beliefs and traditions of certain churches.  But the Jewish people do follow the God of our faith.  He is I AM!  Our God.  My God.  Your God.

I know the Jewish nation lost it on the journey to the Promised Land due to lack of faith.  The whole generation that came out of bondage actually placed the next generation in bondage in the desert due to their lack of faith even after seeing and hearing God the Father.  Then when that generation and the next finally made it to the Promised Land they had to fight and fight and fight and fight for everything and against everyone.  It seems as is the fighting has been nonstop for them for thousands of years.

So my heart has a special place for the Jewish nation even though I have never personally met or befriended a Jewish person.  I have listened some to Amir Tsarfati speak about the Jewish religion and his conversion to Christianity from Judaism.  It's a miracle story that started with him watching a video of Campus Crusade for Christ during a time he was searching for answers and contemplating suicide.  I financially supported CCC for years so this stuck with me.  Now Amir has a ministry called Behold Israel and is leading many to Jesus.  I will have to find more of his teachings and see if the Holy Spirit shows me some of the mystery.

I have found it puzzling how this group of people, so connected to us, are unable to find the truth of Jesus.  I find it odd that I want to know more about them and their beliefs in our Father but many of them have no desire whatsoever to ever look into Jesus and his teachings.

As I contemplate all of this I am beginning to understand that the power of the Holy Spirit is alive and working in the lives of the hearts and minds of believers and unbelievers at specific times and for the specific purposes of God.  I have always understood that He calls to us and we choose to respond or not.  So it is the same for the Jewish people.  God has called and called and called to them but they are a stubborn people and like so many others are deceived by the evil one. It breaks my heart that the Jews were so close to knowing the truth of Jesus but their leaders were following the spirit of the antichrist and kept Jesus from them.  Power and greed is still trying to rule the world with and without religious ties.

1 John 4:1-4

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

I frequently watch and listen to Amir. He is the place to go with Israel and middle east updates. Fun fact: Amir Tsarfati was the last mayor of Jericho.

I love how Amir speaks and is so easily understood.  I'm not a "big word" fan and love it when people speak with their heart and not their minds.  Intellectualism (my big word for the day) is not one of my strengths but my heart and love for the Lord is. It's hard to explain spiritual things in words to those who are not spiritual but by the power of the Holy Spirit the words come.

Life revolves in a totally different realm when Jesus becomes the center of an individual's life. A miraculous mystery.

I wanted to add a quick note.  I am a lifetime genealogist and love putting together the puzzle pieces of my ancestors.  One of my ancestors was at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 in England when he came over with William and the Norman army. They won, my ancestor was given English land and my English family ties were established.

So many people just take it for granted that they are alive and well today when so many millions of family lineages were stamped out completely.  Yet here we are. Many times I think of how the hand of God continually moves throughout time so that each of us are alive and well and speaking out for and about Him today!

Ah, the mysteries!!   Ah, the love!! :amen:

The "Jewish" people have been persecuted by "Christians" for 2000 years.  I don't believe that a Christian can be indwelled by God's love for Israel and persecute the Jews or anyone else.

Nevertheless, Jews are Jewish by birth so they think we can be Christians by birth.  (Some Christians think that as well.).   They have been bigoted toward us for good reason.  Centuries of persecution.

Many years ago I bought a menorah at a little Jewish shop in California.  The clerk was so puzzled why I would want such a thing since I am Christian.  I explained to her the many references to it in both the Gospels and the Revelation, so it gave me an opportunity to witness to her.  I told her that many Christians support Israel.  She was amazed.

I have never been able to understand the continued persecution of the Jewish people century after century except for the fact that the devil has hated the Chosen Nation since The Father chose them.  I support and speak up for the Jewish people even though I do not totally understand their religious beliefs and practices.  It is their religious leaders that have always deceived them into non-belief.  But this of course is the same in many religions.

On the website I referred to it says this:

"Jews do not accept Jesus as the messiah because:

1. Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies.
2. Jesus did not embody the personal qualifications of the Messiah.
3. Biblical verses "referring" to Jesus are mistranslations.
4. Jewish belief is based on national revelation."

Number 4 says "national revelation" which I presume means that the revelation of the Messiah will be the whole nation coming to the knowledge and truth of Christ at the exact same time.  If only they would read the Book of Revelation but they follow their religious leaders and not God.

Revelation 1:7 (NKJV)
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Shalom! I didn't mean to offend you, though.....may the Lord's peace and grace be with you there, and may He give you all your hearts desires, according to His loving will and plan for you!

Oh Monica, no offense taken. :bighug2:

I love hearing each person's response to my request for more understanding.  I am a life follower of Jesus and still do not understand how so many are blind to Him even though scripture tells us people will be blind to Him.  The heathens and pagans of the world, I understand why they are trapped in unbelief.  It's those who believe in I AM that my heart hurts for. They are so close yet so far.

I was into genealogy big time for a few years. Our tree came over in two waves in the 1700s it appears. No need to tell you the difficulties of getting out of the U.S. to the roots back to Europe. So many courthouses and churches storing valuable records were burned down because of primitive lighting, cooking, and heating here in America.

The only famous person my uncle and I ran across in our genealogy is Fredrick the Great.

The Catholic Church taught that the Jews killed Jesus so they were hated.  People didn't read the Bible.  They just believed what they were taught.  Luther also became bigoted in his final years, and possibly senile.  He was also very bitter toward the Catholic Church which was seeking to kill him and continued to support the sale of indulgences, or buying loved ones out of purgatory.

Augustine taught that Rome was the new Jerusalem that took the place of Israel.  It teaches that the Revelation is just an allegory to that effect.  It is a strange read.  Augustine had a lot of good teaching but this was not one of them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
