How do we do in order to assuage the hearts?

The custom of trying to mollify the hearts with gifts was used some times in the Holy Scripture, chiefly by Jacob:

•    Gen 43:11 -> “And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:”.

A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away. For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.”.

So, have a good day trying to live like Job, which was righteous, feared the Creator and always eschewed evil (Job 1:1). If you are to impart presents for someone, may this be under total direction of Jesus so that they can approach of the Creator.
