And for today, I believe it is used by insecure men and women who have been fed a bunch of malarchy all of their lives in the church or by some overbearing man in their life.

And please don't suggest that I don't like men. I love them a whole lot, I just don't care for chauvinistic attitudes or passive people pleasing attitudes. I stand for the Lord, I will teach, preach, and use authority where ever and when ever I believe the Lord is urging me to do so.....

It does not say "over Christ". It says, "over the man".

and in Christ there is neither male nor female. So who really is the Man being spoken of?

love and blessings

I usually stay out of these type of debates now, but you might wanna watch your blanket statment of passive people, or women who are evidently to stupid to understand the clear meaning of scripture. I am neither passive nor stupid and I find the scriptures very clear that woman are not to preach or be in authority over men. If we can make blanket statements of our opinions and call them truth, here is mine! I find that people who make statements like yours are usually woman who want to find a reason, any reason for not doing something the Bible clearly states is wrong, because it doesn't suit them and therefore scirpture has to be twisted to suit their purpose, so they can justify what they want, instead of obeying the Lord!

Shalom AP,

I agree, 100% Thank you! :emot-handshake:

If a woman is not submitting or refuses to submit where she is Biblicially required, she has nothing worth hearing. Now interpreting when she is pushing herself into a leadership role that is not hers rightfully depends on the particular situation. My grandmother is in a church in rural eastern NC where there are no qualified males to teach or lead. What do u do? The community is full of old widows and children and they can't afford a pastor but own the building.

You do what I expect they are doing. The women arE preaching and teaching. As I have already said. God has always used a woman when there was not a qualified man.

Shalom David,

What do you do?

You pray and ask G-d to provide and you trust HIM, not man's thinking, the same way Abraham did concerning Isaac. You don't justify violating Scripture.

As long as women are in the men's roles, men will not step up.

G-d qualifies the man.

bib, i absolutely believe all scripture is inspired by God. but i also understand that there are many times in scripture where a certain group of people were addressed. kinda like the should men be allowed to have long hair debate. or kinda like laws that were written affecting hebrews but not necessarily all mankind.

i've made my thoughts on this subject quite clear, and in no way does what i say oppose scripture. not even does it oppose paul's letter addressing a specific church crisis. a woman who delivers a sermon should be subject to the authority of a male, and should not hold the office of being the head honcho.

I was simply making an observation, based on personal experience, LadyC.

bib, i'm sorry, i think i meant to direct my response to exrockstar, not to you.... i must have read something you posted before i got around to responding. no wonder why you're shrugging your shoulders LOL. (unless you asked the same question of me that rockstar did, i'd have to go back and look!)

I might but I won't....I'm pretty straight forward so please don't put words in my mouth. The words stupid people never came out of my mouth nor did it enter my mind.

You find scripture very clear with muddied eyes. And not once did I say that I wanted to have authority over man. What I did say is that no one has authority over me but Christ. And it is His authority that I would never dream of usurping. Yet I hear people doing it all the time. Telling me how clear this verse or that verse is, yet those verses are debated to DEATH....so what's clear about that?

anywaysssss....sorry you felt offended by what I had to say. Next time refrain from yelling at me or stating I said something when I did not. Your feathers really don't need to get so ruffled.

This is a prime example of the blind leading the blind.

This is a prime example of the blind leading the blind.

First I never yelled at you, where in anything that I posted is it in bold or all caps, except for where you did it above. As for the rest, no you didn't say stupid, just that people that are insecure were being fed malarchy and too passive, might not have said stupid but its kinda implied. As for feathers being ruffled maybe you should check to make sure it isn't yours. I'm not upset at all, and my opinion listed above is no more out of line than yours was. As for those verses being debated to death, yes your right they are. And since you could be the wrong one and not me, well I'll pass on claiming the muddied eyes title. I and many others however find them quite clear. And yes your right about the blind leading the blind.............maybe you should stop that.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
