I've been through enough hurricanes and thunderstorms to say them pics be thunderstorms.

The others are different cloud formations that are down bursts or a copule may ge mesocyclones. I have seen many storms like these across Oklahoma in my 58 years here, and the ground looks more like western oklahoma or kansas to me. Edited to agree with Super Jew..... I love storm pics. My wife did pull up a satelite image of Katrina that put Ivan to shame....prior to Katrina, Ivan made the coolest wallpaper for a satelite image. I highly doubt once could capture images of Katrina's rotation except from a VERY high altitude Very skeptical of these pics, Tim

I have seen each of those cloud formations here during my lifetime..... and they are also very good. One thing to think about is that hurricanes do create individual thunderstorms so it would be possible that they could be assocaited with Katrina. My questions would concern the landscape, and I am not familiar with the landscape in the area that Katrina hit.
