Hi Dennis: It just occurred to me that maybe another route might be to create inventive little passive 'boobie-traps' that shoot out pepper spray or paint or ??? when activated from within our house??? (Thinking out loud here what would MacGiver do??? LOL)

Then, if they are still intent on getting inside we could definitely be 'in fear of our lives' and take defensive actions with firearms. Yes, I agree that no matter what there are legalities that will have to be overcome in court of law, still, we will be alive to face those legal challenges, right???

Ray . . .

Good morning, Ray,

I beefed up and hardened my security since. I thought about that also and considered the legalities and practicalities. In general, bobby traps are not advisable, and sooner rather than later they would be used on the wife or me. We occasionally forget to disarm the alarm and open the door to go out. So, we would forget them also.

Now that I upgraded to a state-of-the-art system, I will be adding a few night vision cameras. When seconds count, the cops are minutes away, in my case many minutes.

A person's locked doors and windows should be all the warning an intruder needs to get. No one can read a mind or know the intent of a person(s) to breach into their secure safe dwelling. It must be assumed the worst possible intent and outcome. Criminals have learned that the fewer witnesses, the harder it is to prosecute.

I remember a secular saying of past generations, "some people just need shooting." Today you have to prove other options were not available, your state of mind, to protect yourself, your family, and loved ones before the use of lethal force, even inside your own home.

How many ludicrous civil suits have been won, saying you did not need to shoot that violent armed criminal that broke into your home? Crazy!

Yes, I see what you mean . . . never thought of that as I too tend to forget things . . . always have been that way, so its not a senior thing . . . lol

My son is a officer with a local department, and he teaches conceal carry classes, and advanced shooting techniques. He has remarked that 50% or more his calls are not to prevent bad things from happening, but, clean-up after the fact.

Agreed . . .

I do have a couple dogs who are very good at 'alerting' when people come visiting. I also have an cheap China (yes I know . . .) security camera set with infra-red at night. That helps alot to keep an eye on things. Also my house is on top of a hill about 450 feet from the road with a long winding driveway. I have an driveway alarm that alerts me to cars/people coming up my driveway. Not perfect but works for me.

I see that you and I are like-minded on many things; Wished we lived closer to develop an in-person friendship.

Grace and Peace to you and yours . . .

I don't believe you will have an argument as to who comes first in your life. But seriously, do you consider yourself fortunate or blessed to be living in the USA? as opposed to Iran?

Is it our place to decide such matters, my friend? Did I choose to be born in the United States and for that matter, did you? Did an Iranian choose to be born in Iran?

Those questions are rhetorical, of course, because we already know the answers. Here's the only thing that matters:

We receive whatever the Lord sees fit to give to us, and we're thankful remembering that whatever befalls those who love God works toward our good. No, I'm not thankful for being born in the U.S., Walter. I'm thankful because the Lord loved us first.

I'm thankful that Jesus Christ is my portion; I'm a citizen of His kingdom without end. Praise the Lord! :)

The blessing is stored in heaven for those who endure hardness and suffering in this world. What can be said for one who leads a life of comfort and peace on earth? If the stock market falls, they gnash their teeth; when prices rise at the grocery store, they consider it a trial. Out of their abundance they suffer?

Consider the man who is born under oppression, and who lives in fear of evil by day and the terror by night. He suffers on account of his faith in Jesus Christ who loves him, and many like him are put to death because of this faith given by God. Out of hardship he suffers, but the abundance which is stored in heaven has yet to be revealed to him.

That man rejoices at a cup of water, but the man with plenty protests when there is nothing else to drink. Something to think about.

And, like I said, no one is arguing where a Christian's true  citizenship is. I'm asking you if you consider yourself fortunate for living in a country where a multitude of Americans died for defending the constitutional principles  that we  actually still adhere to. You know, you're still living on  this current earth, and I seriously doubt if you had a choice between this freedom of religion country and one that persecutes and/or kills you, that you would actually choose to live there instead. That's all I'm asking you.

No, not at all. I'm blessed by the Lord and greatly so, for I'm not confused regarding the Master whom I serve and to which nation I belong. I'm not possessed by dual citizenship like so many are, Walter. My loyalty is not divided and that in itself is more than what this world has to offer.

We cannot serve two masters. We may only serve one.

And speaking of this world, what did it give to me anyway? Peace? I was born under oppression and lived in fear of the evil by day, and that terror which comes in the night. Of course, you wouldn't know unless I told you. I was cursed by my mother, beaten severely by my father, and forsaken by that family of the flesh which so many hold dear. I was left for dead.

As for serving constitutions and whatnot, I paid my dues in this regard. I volunteered for service in the U.S. Army and served with both honor and distinction as a soldier during a time of war. I yielded that which the United States never gave to me, and I did so without complaint nor grumbling. It was my due after all.

God released me from my obligations toward man.

When the Lord claimed me as His own, I belonged to no other. I'm neither impressed nor moved by flag-waving jingoism for the only death which is praiseworthy, and the only sacrifice we have regard for, is for the Son of Man who laid down his life for the sake of His friends. He gave us His life so we might live. There's no greater love than that!

Ah, a rant is coming on. ;)

We don't defend constitutional principles; we walk in the Spirit of the Lord. We don't train our ear toward man and await his command; we listen for the voice of the Holy One and when He speaks, we obey His commandment. We obey His voice, and He is our God, and so we are His people. But if we do not obey His voice but rather, walk according to our own advice and what seems right in our own eyes, then we are not obeying His voice nor walking in His commandments.

What did the Lord declare by His prophet?

This is what the LORD of armies, the God of Israel says: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat flesh. For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them on the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you shall walk entirely in the way which I command you, so that it may go well for you.’ Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked by their own advice and in the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and they went backward and not forward. Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent you all My servants the prophets, sending them daily, again and again. Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers." (Jeremiah 7:21-26 NASB)

Israel of the flesh is an example for us now. Before the Lord called us according to the blessing, we walked in the only way we knew: we waved flags, we pledged our allegiance to man and his nations, and we exalted in war. The same was true of myself but when my military service was concluded and I received that honorable discharge, having excelled as a soldier serving under the banner of man, the Lord drew near and called me to serve under His banner.

I'm no longer a soldier who defends a constitution which is only worth the paper it's written on. Empires of men rise and they also fall, but the Lord endures forever. If I'm a soldier now, it's only due to whatever hardship I must suffer where the Lord sends me to walk. As for defending something, Almighty God doesn't require my hands to serve Him at any time! The Lord requires no defender, because no one and nothing can stand against the Lord.

God is pleased that by these hands and this life which He gave when my own was forfeit --- and I was left for dead in the wilderness --- I serve my neighbor just as He served me. The Lord did not raise me up so I might declare, "Oh! See what the Lord has done for me? Look at how God has blessed me!" Not at all.

The Lord raised us up so we might walk in His Holy Spirit, going wherever He sends us, and doing that work which He Himself ordains. We keep His word and wait for the blessing which is to come. I know whom to thank and who is worthy of all praise, glory, honor, majesty, and worship. Jesus Christ.

Ah, so another rant is concluded. God is so good!

This video is a must-watch documentary for those that want to be informed. The repulsive propaganda, disinformation, and bald-faced lies shoved down our throats are disgusting. Just mentioning the 2020 election or Covid on YouBoob, FaceLift, or Twatter will get you censored, suspended, or banned. You are labeled a conspiracist, spreading disinformation, and a domestic terrorist. There is a conspiracy, alright, and it is the government, non-government organizations, globalists, and socialists doing the conspiring. Put the left shoe on the right foot.

The SCOTUS will stick its nose into matters the U.S. Constitution does not address or imply. They are more than happy to address and restrict state rights issues given by the Constitution. Yet, SCOTUS will not entertain or even consider matters of such national importance with presented damning evidence.

It is plain and straightforward that government high treason, tyranny, traitors, and despots eliminate freedom. It is just another spin on:

“Those Who Vote Decide Nothing Those Who Count The Votes Decide Everything” ~ Joseph Stalin

The party is over when the last bastion of freedom, the ballot box, becomes a media dog and pony show. I address the following as a question. When does a government become tyrannical, and what are the signs?

Maybe we can look at the latest example and playbook and take a cue from Venezuela?

I would not consider Josef Stalin a source of wisdom by any sane measure. Here is a man who murdered millions during his tenure in power, which he wielded ruthlessly until the world was made brighter by his demise. We will never know the extent of that man's evil until the end has come.

This is what happens when we become ensnared by the cares of this world. We look to evil men and lionize them, calling that which is evil good, and we gnash our teeth upon the meek, calling them evil because they are not embroiled with man's concerns.

Don't you know that the meek shall inherit the earth, and that peacemakers shall be called the sons and daughters of God?

I wouldn't call quoting Josef Stalin and propping him up as a source of wisdom "tone deaf." It's shameful.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
