If Hollywood created the Moon landings -

How come all other sci-fi movies and TV shows that came out during that time period have the cheeziest graphics that don't even come close to the quality of the Moon landings?

And how come the videos from the astronauts on the Moon follow the principles of physics for a low gravity and no atmosphere environment - yet Hollywood then and even now can't get its physics right in these movies?

How do you know the priniciples scientists claim concerning the amount of gravity on the moon are right in the first place? How do you know scientists are right concerning the moon's atmosphere? Have you been to the moon yourself to witness those things are correct?

I find it funny how so many are willing to disbelieve God for lack of proof, yet you believe whatever scientists tell you, even when most of what they are saying is nothing but theory. Until scientist actually travel through space themselves, I will even have doubts they are correct is assuming the sun is a star and that all the stars we see have planets surrounding them like you see in Star Trek and other sci-fi movies. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not.

Most so-called scientific facts are nothing but educated guesses and down the road more and more will likely be proven false.

To TempestTossed, I am glad you are open to the possiblity the moon landing was a hoax, but to me the burden of proof is on those claiming we went, not those disputing it. If you look at things the other way, then why don't you accept God on the same basis? The burden of proof is on non-believers, not believers. I strongly believe in God and the Bible, but am very skeptical about what I hear concerning scientific claims.

Actually, I refuted much of the theories of gravity and relativity in another thread several months ago. If the theories are supposedly correct, then there is more matter in the milky way galaxy than the big bang proponents say there should be in the entire universe. I presented several pages in which i did hte calculations to show how much matter would be needed to hold the sun in its supposed orbit around the center of the galaxy, given its supposed mass as reported by scientists(using Encarta encylopedia, a known and accepted source, for my figures). Not only that, but if relativity and the current theories of gravity were correct, then stars observed from teh earth's refrence frame(which every human being is in) could not be any farther away than slightly beyond where the scientists report pluto to be, and there mass would be zero.

In other words, all of their theories and supposed "facts and observations" contradict one another to such an extent it is just absured.

I think Ronald is correct - how is this going to win people to Christ?

I've interracted with atheists and agnostics on an astronomy board - they look at this kind of stuff and come away with more evidence that Christians are a bunch of idiots.

How does that win them to Jesus?

And I agree with the Board policies on conspiracy theories - they do nothing to advance the Gospel.

There is an issue with your assertion that Atheists understand the Bible better than Christians. Namely that scripture teaches that it is impossible to truly understand the message of scripture with out the illumination of the Holy Spirit.

As far as the question of the Space Station? I asked simply because I have seen the very technology used in launching this Station come into question. It has been postulated that God did not want Rockets going into Space. The proof? He didn't want a tower made of earthen bricks to reach the heavens.

It would further follow that said Space Station took years of technology to accomplish. This technology started with the effort to reach the Moon. Actually it started from ignoble purposes back during WW2.

So my question is of consequence. How did we accomplish the Space Station when we couldn't even reach the Moon?

I believe the Lord gave us Genesis 1 to reveal Himself and man's relation to Him, not to reveal the Earth. If you keep looking for Earth in Genesis 1, you will completely miss Him.

Did you know that Genesis 1 presents the Gospel message?
