Gospel of Mary -Source of Catholicism?

I just find it bizarre that the Ever-Virgin stuff and most details about Mary are in this non-canonical book. Perhaps it was compiled to add legitimacy, but then they realized the canon was already closed.

I find it perplexing that the Roman Church considers this not canon and perhaps heresy, and yet all their prayers and ideas about Mary Queen of Heaven are in it.

Which makes me wonder, is the RCC gnostic? That they incorporated prayers and beliefs from a gnostic book? 
 

Yes but the title does imply a different book. Gospel of mary is a separate book.

But the catholics didn't use it from that book but from two parts of the NT, one being below

Luke 1:28

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Luke 1:43

And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

The second most anti-biblical statement is completely at odds with the verse below.

1 Timothy 2:5 

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Once more The Gospel pf Mary is not the Gospel of Mary Magadelene or Mary & Martha, or Mary Clopas (Mary The Mother’s sister). 
 

I also do not believe these lost books are God Breathed (2 Timothy 3:16)

Yeah, the Marian Intercessor thing is not Scriptural. Worse her title “Queen of Heaven,” is the same title as the goddess Ashereroth/Artemis (Jeremiah Chapter 44)

Forgeries to be sure, meant to support dogmas not in the canon of Scripture.

I recently learned all about this other Mary Queen of heaven and hell!  The RCC did mother Mary no favor in associating her to this pagan priestess queen of heaven (and hell).  But they are also the same men who turned Mary of Magdala into a whore and had to recount this in 1969. https://www.christianpost.com/news/biblical-myth-debunked-mary-magdalene-was-not-a-prostitute.html

The RCC has been causing God a lot trouble for many many centuries.  He will get his revenge one day.

Huh thanks for the info, and I'll have say to Luke 7 says she lived a sinful life that could be alot of things not just a prostitute lol. They really mess things up for sure.
