Who is the beast of the sea and the head wounded of death? (Part 1)
•    Rev 13:1 -> “And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.”.

I delayed very much to understand this. First of all, what is a beast? Beast is a domestic animal used as a load animal. This animal isn’t wild animal, but one that can be used as a riding animal. So much so that we can see this animal carrying a woman (Rev 17:3).

But, who is this beast?

•    Rev 17:8 -> “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.”.

Observe his characteristic: “it was and is not and is to come”. Considering that it was in about 90 A.D. that this prophecy was uttered, what is the nation that fills these requirements. Only Israel was a nation in the past, wasn’t more in 90 A.D. (it was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Roman Empire), but would rise in the future (in 1,948 A.D).

And this can be confirmed by Hosea:

•    Hos 10:11 -> “Ephraim was a trained calf that loved to thresh, and I spared her fair neck; but I will put Ephraim to the yoke; Judah must plow; Jacob must harrow for himself.”.

Ephraim here is representing, at first, the ten tribes of the North (Israel). Nonetheless, Judah became, in the future, like the ten tribes:

•    Eze 16:51,52 -> “Samaria has not committed half your sins. You have committed more abominations than they, and have made your sisters appear righteous by all the abominations that you have committed. Bear your disgrace, you also, for you have intervened on behalf of your sisters. Because of your sins in which you acted more abominably than they, they are more in the right than you. So be ashamed, you also, and bear your disgrace, for you have made your sisters appear righteous.”.

So, the beast of the sea represents all the Israelites. But, what does it mean?

Israel is a trained heifer (beast), that loves to tread out (Hosea 10:11). How could Israel turn into a well-trained heifer and pass to like treading out (to the point of satisfy the ambition of perverse kings) in a way that, when Rome (the woman who has mounted the beast) arrived, Israel carried Rome in its back naturally without any resistance?

Each one of the heads taught Israel to tread out and enticed them to give in to them in exchange of sure maintenance (as we can see below):

•    Num 11:5 -> “We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic.”.

But, why is this beast called also beast that comes up out of the abyss?

Have a good day. Tomorrow we will carry on.

I have seen the bottomless pit. Many years later I came to realize it is a volcano. When the beast comes out of the pit I think is spiritual but there will be a very real erruption and there will be smoke fire and ashes and poisionous gas.

Pompeii was destroyed by the violent eruption of Mount Vesuvius on August 24, 79 CE.

Mount Vesuvius has not erupted since 1944, but it is still one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world. Experts believe that another catastrophic eruption is due any day—an almost unfathomable catastrophe, since almost 3 million people live within 20 miles of the volcano's crater.

May we be accurate when trying to identify the Beast.

  1. From Daniel 9 the Beast is a Prince of the people who destroy the sanctuary - a Roman
  2. From John 19 Israel chose Caesar as their king when offered Jesus
  3. From Revelation 13 the Beast comes out of the "sea". In Parable the "sea" is the Nations . The Beast is a Gentile
  4. Throughout the description of the Beast scripture calls him a "HE". The Beast is MAN and a male
  5. Throughout the descriptions the Beast "is GIVEN" things. God remains in control
  6. In Revelation 17 the Beast is man who has lived and died but will return in resurrection
  7. In Rev.17 the Beast rises out of the bottomless pit - Hades the place of the dead
  8. The Beast must be a MAN as he is destined for perdition
  9. In Rev.17 the Beast is one of five kings during John's time who have died - a Roman Caesar
  10. In Rev.17 the beast is one of five but becomes the EIGHTH. "Eight" in parable is the number of resurrection
  11. The Beast is man who must receive power from outside. God "gives" him power to change the time of his resurrection
  12. Ten kings of the earth give the best their power
  13. The Dragon gives the Beast his power
  14. The Dragon gives the Beast his "seat" or throne
  15. Mystery Babylon - the religion of the earth, must give the beast its power

The Beast is a Gentile, Roman Caesar who has lived before in John's time and will be resurrected out of time. He is empowered by ten kings, he is empowered by the pagan religion of Babylon, and he is empowered and given authority by the Dragon. Of the Caesars who lived and reigned in John's time only one name fits the numerical value of 666. It is CAESAR NERO.

I don't think he will be resurrected. I mean a someone who died two thousand years ago. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He alone can raise the dead. It says one of his heads was struck down. But came back. Meaning they lost complete power due to a overthrow. But out of no where it power is restored.

I know my opinion will differ from what has been stated so far, but I'm 100% certain that the beast is actually the Antichrist that will rule the world and divide the world into 10 regions. He will die and be resurrected after being indwelt by Satan himself.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
