I am reading the Chronicles of Narnia and I see a lot of connections to scripture in it.

Aslan acts like Jesus etc.

Anyone have any information on this?

Ok, I have to admit a little confusion . . . were you just answering your own question?

I mean, C.S. Lewis wrote The Chronicles of Narnia, and he meant for Aslan to represent Christ.

I recall a story of a girl asking Lewis a question about who Aslan was, and Lewis responded by saying something like, "Who comes at the same time as Father Christmas?" and other questions like that that point to Jesus. [Please - no one turn this into a Christmas debate! This was Lewis' thinkin, OK?]

Darn it. I was hoping for a Christmas debate. Like should it be turkey or honey ham? More tintzel than lights, or vise versa? Seriously I can't wait to see this movie. As a new Christian.

What a silly statement! So now I'm going to Hell for playing Pac-Man on my Atari 2600? Some people display no common sense at all. Attitudes like that do more to drive people AWAY from Christianity than draw them to it.

Don't you think video games are a bit of a waste of precious time? From my observations, video games encourage anti social behavior. Narnia on the other hand is a good read.

Likewise, I once had a case of Pac-Man Fever. I loved that game. The Atari2600 sure brings back memories. But I must concede that it can be, more often than not, a waste of time. Fun though it may be.

Yeah, it can really be a time waster without a doubt! I can remember sitting up until all hours playing Pac-Man.

You can let anything get in the way of your walk with God and no one is denying that. If video games get in your way of serving God, then one shouldn't play them. However, people such as WSB shouldn't be in here trying to pound stuff like that in people's head that they have no Biblical basis for.
