I thought the law was given through Moses.

I agree with that. Just about all we need to know is in the Sermon on the Mount.

Jesus is so more and better than we are; yet, Jesus is not conceited.

There are ones not religious leaders who also can pick and choose who is good enough for them to love.

15) Jesus vs the religious leaders

Mark 7:

- The Pharisees and scribes accuse Jesus’

disciples to eat their meal with defiled hands

and thus not observing the tradition of the

men of former times!

- Jesus tells them that Isaiah prophesied

about them, calling them hypocrites, as it

is written, “This people honor me with their

lips, but their hearts are far removed from me.

It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, for

they teach commands of men as doctrines.”

You let go of the commandment of God and

cling to the tradition of men.”

- How powerful!

- How accusing!

- How striking!

- How real unfortunately!

- How sad!

- May people remember these words of Jesus!

Hi @kwikphilly The Gospel accounts are in harmony one with another; and when the believer follows the Lord Jesus it is indeed not according to his or her own merit, but by grace, with 'God that worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure' (Philippians 2).

Maybe you should because as far as I know Jesus tells us there is only One Law, to Love God and to love our neighbor as ourself. Perhaps you want to say there are there are three laws to love God, love our neighbor and to love ourself.

We read in Galatians 3:24 "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."

God is all about Justice but we are "justified by faith". The law is just our teacher to show us how to be good or righteous before God.

David said: "Oh, how I love Your law! All day long it is my meditation". Psalms 119:97. David talks about his love for the law of God many times in the Psalms. The law shows us how to be the person God wants us to be.

The grace of God does a work in us to transform us. The law helps us to know what the HOLY Spirit of God is doing in our life.

Ephesians 2:8 "8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast."

Clearly we are saved by the Grace of God, not our works. Although if we are saved we will show good works as evidence that God has saved us.

You are completely confusing to me.... First you asked which Laws were men not able to keep, sounding like someone under the Law..... Unless I.just cannot make heads or tails about what you write it sounds like you jump from one side of the fence to the other...

Now the tide has changed again" Clearly we are Saved by God's Grace, not works"- that is 100percent accurate

I do believe I simply cannot follow your writing.... I hope that's the case

Be Blessed!

Here is a complete thought expressed by Paul that deals with the 'principle' of Law as that which shines a light on sin and a new law (principle) under which we live and function.

Two principles, both of which have a dynamic that yields a result.

Rom. 7:7 (NAS20S)    What shall we say then? Is the Law sin?   Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “ YOU SHALL NOT COVET.” 8 But sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin came to life, and I died; 10 and this commandment, which was   to result in life, proved to result in death for me; 11 for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it, killed me.

Rom. 7:25 (NAS20S) Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

Rom. 8:1 (NAS20S)   Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do,   weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Yes, that is true. After I had congestive heart failure, I was in a coma for a week. The doctors said I jump from subject to subect. My brother said I have always been that way so they decided not to give me any treatment for it. That was actually in 2005 that they put the Medtronic fibulator in me. That is why I figure God has a plan and a reason for keeping me alive. Even if it is difficult to communicate with people in a way that they can understand.

I usually do not talk about this, but you did ask me a direct question about it. I think to talk about stuff like this is kind of a negative confession of faith. God always has a plan and He tells us: Proverbs 3:5 "lean not on your own understanding".

You can give the referance to make it easier for people to look it up if they want.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
