In this way we had an ice age, which ended when reduced volcanic activity stopped causing a cooling effect to the land, the oceans cooled to reduce the rate of evaporation, all of which enablled a warming land to start melting the ice.

If the Earth was an apple, the water layer would be thinner than the fruit's skin. If Earth was the size of a basketball, all of its water would fit into a ping pong ball.

I hope you revise your calculations and realize that there was never enough water to trigger such massive events.

Powerful evidence of plate tectonics was delivered by studies of the Mid Atlantic ridge. As magma cools, it adopts the magnetic polarity when it cooled. The continents move apart, magma flows upwards into the ridge, cools, and becomes part of the ocean floor.

This earth has frequently switched it's magnetic field.

Water is a major driver of that. Water in the upper mantel moves to the lower mantel by convection, creates earthquakes, continents breaking up. it's the interaction of hot magma and H2O. There's more water underground than above it.

I respectfully disagree. Water has absolutely nothing to do with plate tectonics. There is not enough water to drive this process. Plate tectonics is driven by heat from the Earth's core causing convection currents in the mantle.

The waters in the transit zone is vastly larger than the puddle on the surface for sure. water moving to and from that zone does create earthquakes by softening rocks creating weak areas in the crust. not saying magma doesn't bubble up out of the core, its venting up through the weakened part of the upper mantel in which the cycle of water moves.

It's three areas under ground on the surface and in the atmosphere.

These were bigger earth earthquakes over a two year period than what happened more in the past. Why are these earthquakes ignored.

Wow that's a interesting story, never heard of it. river ran backwards created a lake and wiped out a village drowning the inhabitants unreal. That's powerful earthquakes.

I am a former Missouri resident and I'm quite familiar with the area. You can see what the earthquakes did where highways cut through the granite mountains for I-55. The bigger earthquakes are estimated at 8.2 to 8.8.

As big as these earthquakes were, what really scares me is Yellowstone. That's like a different planet.

Yea the super volcanoes are planet transformers. I live in the middle eastcoast right on top of the continental shelf, get a big enough quake and that part of Virginia will snap off lol.
