As I posted previously, I would not get a tattoo at all. I wore a cross lapel pin, on my jacket, for a while, but I kept getting a gentle nudge from the Lord that this was not his will. A few Christian friends quietly expressed doubts about it as well, but I continued. Then it started to fall off, more and more often, for no apparent reason. Then, one day, it fell off when I was out, and it was gone. I haven't worn one since. Tattoos are like lapel pins on steroids. We are to be the Lord's epistle, written on our hearts, not our skin. The other two have not. Husband of 24 year old has many and will probably get more. He is 28. I like his lion. Can't say I embrace any of the strategies. I just think the human body is more beautiful without them. Used to paint and draw portraits. My goal was to reveal the personality of the person in their expressions. I diminished the clothing by making it more impressionistic as well so that the emphasis was on the nuances of skin tones rather than being distracted by the detail in clothing.
