Those who walk in the Spirit become the offspring of the God of Peace

Luke 10:5 But whatever house you enter, first say, Peace to this house.

6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.

Those who receive the children of God, receive His Peace. This is Kingdom Come.

Matthew 10:40 He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

Children are drawn to the Spirit of Christ

Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
And great shall be the peace of your children.

The indwelling Spirit of Christ transforms belief into child-like faith

Matthew 18:2-5 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

Christian Fellowship must manifest the Peace of Christ

Ephesians 6:23 Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Perfect Peace that passes understanding

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Becoming complete in Christ

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind,

live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

The peace of God, something we glibly talk about, but how often do we actually have it?

The pressure of work, paying the ever increasing mountain of bills, worries about the economy, climate change, politics both local, national and international, all can rob us of peace.

In the midlist of troubles we have to trust God, again a glib saying that requires determination to actually do.

We can expect trouble in this life, both as a result of what is happening in the world and because we are identified as ' Christian '.

When you're looking for something and having trouble finding it there are two very important things you must do.

First know exactly what you are looking for, you only find that which you seek.

Secondly, get rid of the obstacles that are standing in your way, remember that they are there because you have created them and only you can remove them.

You have to do this yourself, no one else can do it for you.

Two solid comments, thanks a lot. The tangible nature of the fruit of the Spirit is certainly not something that can be faked. We can memorize Galatians 5:22/23, but then we face what @FJK is alluding to as a "diy".

24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Here is one of Paul's statements that I still seek a greater experience of, as it makes a believer a living Remembrance of the Lord's presence with us, makes our self-sufficiency fail, and turns the Gospel into a "marketing campaign". Beware of those who "make merchandise" of the Word of God.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.

Amazing that already there were "so many" using the Gospel to personal advantage. An advantage that will not stand in the end.

How does one remove the obstacle of being made redundant or of cancer, or of the death of a partner?

I would love to know how one does this?

Prayer might bring you the answer, I'm not the one to ask.

Death and sickness are not obstacles that need to be removed, but these "facts of life" can be used by God to move us toward Him and away from the things of this world and "the sin that so easily besets us" (Hebrews 12:1). These are unique opportunities to bring glory to God.

John 9:

2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

3 Jesus answered, Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

Remember that Lazarus died of an untimely illness!

John 11:4 When Jesus heard that, He said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.

40 Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?

Yes because they are of your own creation, you are the one that put them there, but that doesn't mean you can't seek gods guidance in doing so.

So we are responsible for the death of a loved one, for a firm that employs us, going bust, or for falling ill.

please explain how we do this?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
