Medically I dont care for tattoos because it can interfer in mri imaging. Biblically, the injunction against tattoos mentions it as a memorial to the dead, so if someone has a tattoo of a flower, I dont see that as an issue.

Some Christians do seem to feel good about receiving Bible verse tattoos.

All the young ppl with Bible verse tattoos with whom I have spoken seem to have received them as witness tools, anyway.

If I was to take a poll position of my own, I would put 'unnecessary for effective witnessing' in regards to the title focus. The topic covered a broad range of perspectives very effectively, and much of what was discussed could carry over into other topics with similar differences of opinion. As to scriptural justification for having tattoos, another possibility I would add to previous references, in closing, if there is a target "demographic" that might be effective, such as the way of dressing in general.

@Mr. M Thanks for your thoughtful post. Yes, this passage which you quote came to mind to me also.

All the young ppl with Bible verses tattooed with whom I have spoken seem to have received them as witness tools.

My wife and I talked with a young lady with the whole of the wording of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse, and mine also.

It caused our conversation. I'm guessing it has caused - and may yet cause - not a few other conversations also. Which may have been the whole point for her.

It's not hard to imagine her having gone with joy into the tattoo parlor.
