No the world does not split into three parts.

 

The king of the north will lay the entire middle east waste.But he's not going to destroy the world.The world isn't destroyed for another 1000 years .

It's not compared to a city.

It is literally called a city by God.

Almost everyday I read the news to see what the king of Babylon is up to.Most days he is sending his forces to kill someone as today or he is sending missiles down on his neighbors.No wonder they hate babylon .

One day soon the cedars of Lebanon will say there is no man to come against us and Palestinia shall rejoice at his fall.

The little horn person, the leader of the EU combined military will be welcomed in open arms by Israel as their messiah.   To be perceived as their messiah, the person has to be a Jew.   No invasion, nor conquering of Israel.

The Little Horn, The Beast, will be a future human man of Jewish/Hebrew decent, he will be worshipped by the entire unsaved world, and it won't be the leader of the European Union, who has surpassed the 10 member nations and the false teaching it represented the 10 heads a few years back

The person will go through a progression of roles - from little horn at the start, to being the beast king at his end.

It will be only the last 42 months - as him being the beast king that he will be worshiped.   Revelation 13:4-5.

¹⁸ And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

God uses Metaphors for a REASON, we have to figure them out, God can not lie. Thus when God says Babylon will never be a City where men dwell again, that ends the conversation and one this has to figure out (easy to do) why God uses Babylon. First, the passage where Isaiah states Babylon will never be a city dwelling place again, throughout ALL Generations. 

Isaiah 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.(They were obliterated, and still do not inhabit a single person in those cities God destroyed by fire and brimstone)

20 It (Babylon) shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation(NEVER): neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

Since God can not lie, Babylon will never be a city again. So, why use the name Babylon in the book of Revelation? Because if God, who wrote the book of Revelation, had used Rome or said the whole WORLD was getting judged, the Romans would have destroyed those documents, and jailed those church members for treason/sedition to Rome. The same reason the Woman was used for Israel, Rome had just sacked Israel, they did not want to read ANYTHING tat stated Israel would rule the whole world in the end times, Rome felt they ruled the whole world !! Any statement that THE WORLD was going to be judged mean Rome had tom be judged. But when God used Babylon, He knew the Romans would laugh at these "UNLEARNED Christians" thinkin to themselves, they don't even know Babylon is a DEAD CITY !! Also, Babel represents CONFUSION, thus Babylon can represent a confused world getting Judged, and those of us hip to Prophetic Utterings will understand that. And that use placed the Church during that time in no peril, we even saw in the New Testament someone referring to the Church at Babylon, but that was a code for the Roman Church it seems, they had become more and more anti Christian until finally they started murdering the Saints. 

THAT CITY Babylon represents the WHOLE WORLD who are so CONFUSED by Satan that they try to fight against their own loving Creator. That is BABEL (Confusion). 

So, on the one hand God has stated via His Prophet Babylon will never be inhabited again, and on the other hand we can see why "Babylon" was used as a CODE WORD in the book of Revelation.

Mystery, Babylon the Great, the kingdom of Satan and his angels, is the mother of harlots (false religions) and abominations of the earth.     Not that she herself is false religions, but that the kingdom of Satan and his angels inspired the false religions.

 

 

Mystery Babylon the Great is Jerusalem, the woman, the great city, as you have been shown several times
