It is said that the heaven is not above and hell is not beneath the earth. Where are they located?

Cosmology is only recently catching up to the prophetic indications in scripture. That there is another universe which the Bible calls the third heaven (the first two being the sky above Earth and the universe around). Scientists theorize the existence of black holes which until recently they believed were essentially the vacuum cleaners of the universe… but now theorize are the portholes between two universes. Through which black holes on either side exchange matter and energy.

Hell appears to be in the core of the Earth:

Malachi 4:3 (KJV)

3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Science does not recognise the non material. The supernatural does not exist!

That said, they have to work with the immaterial numbers, maths, logic/reasoning and morality.

As to where heaven and hell physically is?

They are not physical places, God is Spirit and heaven is where ever God is and he'll is that small spiritual  place where God's  presence  is not.

Heaven become physical when the new heaven and a new earth is made.

Basic Quantum Branes, something that can't really be grasped and understood by the mind of senses but only the intellectual mind through mathematics so the sensory mind has to think in terms of above and below to be able to think of them at all.

FWIW, they are physical places, just not ones we have senses to perceive as such.

IMO, subject to change as I change through more learning.

Heaven is spiritually in the hearts that forgive and share.

Hell is spiritually already in the hearts that wish destruction of others and sharing curses.

If I'm not mistaken Jesus ascended into heaven, if he did then it is somewhere physical.

The idea of heaven and hell being physical places with specific coordinates is not exactly how it works in Christianity. Instead, they're considered more as spiritual realms.

Ephesians 4:8–10 (KJV)
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

When Jesus said he came down from ABOVE did he mean physically above our heads? I'd suggest not. For what would be truly up anyway if you get my meaning. If you're in Antarctica as compared to the Artic....then what is UP? I'd suggest it's really more this way.

Jesus said above for that's the only way one could say it. Heaven is really an elevated type of existence in the nature of what it is. It probably means in a higher dimensional plain. If one thought of what the difference between a two dimensional world would be compared to a three dimensional one. Heaven is a greater reality is we could say  it that way.

Think of a Principal of a school saying he or she is ABOVE a teacher in authority. Such wouldn't mean to us that his office is on the second floor but the teachers room in on the first. No but saying the Principal is ABOVE the teacher really anyone can grasp it. Or we could say it this way.....the spiritual realm or the universe of it is an order of a higher type.

Or we could maybe think of it this way. When God gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth and I believe he meant the physical universe why would he create such an inferior order? Maybe that question can be answered by asking why does a parent create a sand box for their kids.

To give them something akin to a kingdom that they can rule over with and have fun. Now consider....when one does pass over into the Kingdom of God what have they really done. They left the sand box and went into we can call it....THE REAL WORLD, the ABOVE world the place of the moreso reality.  Yes the sandbox is a real world but you get my meaning.....It's not.

Non-recognition does not mean non-existence.

What is found is what is looked for.

The weird thing about spacetime is that it isn't constant. If you go fast enough, you experience time dilation--less time passes for you than the world around you. It's been clocked by jet fighter pilots who break the sound barrier. Over sufficient time and distance, space would begin to compress as well. Moving at lightspeed will compress space relative to your velocity such that a photon traveling from the sun at near-lightspeed would, if it had eyes, observe our planet to be a disc about 60 feet thick. As it turns out, the material universe is extremely dynamic and relative and not at all the static, constant edifice we thought. The double-slit experiment established how subatomic particles are affected by the observation of the observer. What all of this comes down to is exactly what many of the ancient philosophers already suggested--true reality is beyond the limited scope of finite man to grasp. The Creator of all reality is God, and we hold that God knows the end from the beginning. He has described one possible end as Hell and another as Heaven; Heaven is where He is while Hell is where He is not. David had such faith that God would be with him even in Hell--such faith! Trying to frame those invisible ends of ontological being in geographical terms would be an exercise in futility because the very word "geographical" puts Earth ("Geo") at the center of the premise, precisely where it does not belong. We want to be wherever God is, and thanks to Jesus, our Emmanuel, God is with us, and that ought to be our focus. Wherever the King is, Heaven shall be there also.
