You seem to be disagreeing with our Statement of Faith.

Perhaps...but definitely agreeably.

Statement of Faith

We believe in God, the almighty creator of heaven and earth.

AMEN!

We believe in the triunity of God. We believe that God is eternally One, and also eternally the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit — the three being distinct, but not separate. Each Person of the Godhead coexists from everlasting to everlasting.

AMEN!

We believe in the Messiah, Jesus, God’s only begotten son, God come in the flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate. He was crucified, died and buried. On the third day, He rose again. Soon afterward He ascended into heaven. Now He is seated at the right hand of the Father and He will return to judge both the living and the dead and reign for evermore.

AMEN!

We believe all mankind are sinful and are therefore subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

AMEN!

We believe that everyone is in need of God’s salvation. Mankind is absolutely unable to fulfill the heavy demands of God’s righteousness, holiness and glory.

AMEN!

Therefore, God, in sending His Only Begotten Son, has accomplished redemption for us through the shedding of Jesus’ blood. Because of His Son’s death, God has forgiven us of our sins, reconciled us to Himself, and justified us by making Him our righteousness.

AMEN!

We believe that salvation is a gift received by faith alone, in Messiah alone, and is expressed in the individual’s recognition and repentance of sin, and the acceptance of the risen Messiah as Saviour, Lord and God.

AMEN!

We believe in the supreme Lordship of Jesus Christ, before whom every knee in heaven and on earth will bow. And that there is no other name under Heaven by which we can approach the holy throne of God. Jesus Christ is the one and only mediator between God and man.

AMEN!

We believe that immediately upon death, the soul of the believer is absent from the body, and present with the Lord.

Paul speaks about "naked" and "unclothed" in that chapter which refers to the intermediate state between being absent from the body and present with the Lord - resting in peace, lying naked and unclothed, without a body, dead, in the grave awaiting resurrection...because the Soul comes into existence as a consequence of the union of the Body and the Breath of Life, and at the disunion of the same, when the Breath returns to God and the Body to dust, the Soul ceases to exist aka "dies". It can't continue to exist any more than Light (Soul) can continue to shine from a Bulb (Body) once the electric current (Breath of Life) is removed. Paul's clear that the only way we can be "present with the Lord" is if we're "clothed upon" with our resurrection body.

We believe in the ongoing work of sanctification by the Holy Spirit after redemption for the purpose of producing life changing fruit — love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control.

AMEN!

We believe that the 66 books of the Canon, from Genesis to Revelation are the exhaustive, inerrant and inspired word of God.

AMEN!

It would help in understanding this statement if you would quote those actual verses and from which translation they come.

I apologize for such a long response, but it's necessary to make the points. The KJV is my go to, although newer versions sometimes translate things a bit more clearly.

An example of the meaning of a verse which has been twisted is "these shall go away into everlasting punishment".

Notice, it doesn't say "everlasting punish-ing" but "punish-ment".

And, what is the punishment? It's not torment, but death. Everlasting, eternal death...a death from which there will be no resurrection.

Another example is when people wrongly conclude that during the Second Coming, Jesus is bringing with Him the "disembodied souls" of dead saints which had gone to be with Him at death. This is because they either don't know about or ignore the Chiasm:

A. For if we believe that Jesus DIED (DEATH)

B. and ROSE again (RESURRECTION)

A. so them also which SLEEP in Jesus (DEATH)

B. will God BRING with Him. (RESURRECTION)

In other words, "bring" doesn't refer to a celestial road trip of Jesus and the souls of the saints across the universe, but bring forth from the tomb "with" or "in like manner" as Jesus was brought forth - the promise of the Resurrection.

If we insist "bring" refers to that celestial road trip, we destroy the Chiasm and introduce Scriptural disharmony.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
