Yes, @Your closest friendnt So what do you know about The Foolish Galatians?

James 5:19,20
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

I have other discussions about this going elsewhere and this utube preacher sent me this verse and says if it were not possible to lose salvation then this verse would not be in the bible at all.

He’s saying this verse is speaking directly to the brethren and is saying it shows that it’s possible for some brethren to err from the truth as in turning away from God

And he says it’s obvious that this verse is saying that erring from the truth makes one a sinner again who is in need of being saved again from death and from their sins.

For those that believe you cannot lose salvation, what say you?

I think we can't lose it but that we dont have it until He returns.

Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matt 24:12-13, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”

Hebrews 10:36-8, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of the Mighty One you may receive what is promised. 37 For yet a little while – He who is coming shall come and shall not delay. 38 But the righteous shall live by belief, but if anyone draws back, my being has no pleasure in him.”

Hebrews 3:14, “For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end.”

Revelation 3:12, "He who overcomes, I will make a pillar in The House of My Father, and he will never go out of it. And I will write upon him the Name of My Father, and the Name of the New Yerusalem which comes down out of heaven from My Father, newly named."

James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him."

Revelation 3:21, “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

Thank you. What I read about those people they were believers who got things mixed up...

I believe that they were believing that Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of their sins but they were persuaded by some other people believers also to incorporate some of the Jewish customs such as Paul is mentioning...

The point that is in my heart is that they were still believing Jesus died for the forgiveness of their sins and they did not go back to seek forgiveness of their sins in the rituals done in the Temple.

Paul had concerns regarding the Galatians' fall from grace, chapter 5 verse 4, then verses 18 to 21 regarding those who cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Often backsliders are idolators, having replaced God with some other thing they worship.

There were many churches in Galatian. Paul's letter is to the church, to believers in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins by the blood of Jesus Christ without any prerequisite atouch to the message of the Gospel such as the need to be Circumcised for your faith to be accepted and your sins to be forgiven by Jesus Christ.

They were preaching that your faith in Jesus Christ is not accepted without the Circumcision.

This is what Paul called fall from Grace to add that prerequisite to the message of the Gospel.

Paul told them that in this way you are trying to earn what you already have by faith alone in Jesus Christ.

If someone is in this or some similar error that does not make him an unbeliever because to be in that error someone must be a believer in Jesus Christ...

They "fell from grace" after having been born again... this is one of the proof texts that once saved always saved is false doctrine.

It's funny to here all the word salad gymnastics the OSAS people throw out to try and convince others that these folks either did not fall from grace or where never saved in the first place.  Pretty funny stuff for sure!

That's like a doctor telling their patient to not exercise until they get in to better shape... so the patient tells the doctor, don't bill me until I pay you! :24:

Exactly.

To fall from grace requires first being in grace, and backsliding requires first being in the position of a believer, of being known by God, as Paul says the Galatians were, and as the Psalmist says Israel was, being called MY PEOPLE by God.

(Psa 81:11)  "But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me.
(Psa 81:12)  So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.

WE  DONT  HAVE  IT  UNTIL  HE  RETURNS

MATTHEW 7:21  not everyone that saith unto  ME  LORD  LORD  shall enter into the kingdom of heaven  ---  but he that doeth the will of  MY  FATHER  which is in heaven---

ROMANS 13:11  and that knowing the time that now it is hightime to awake out of deep sleep --- for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed ---

AGAIN  ---  HEBREWS 10:36  for you have need of patience that after you have --- done the will of  GOD  ---  you might receive the promise ---

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
