After several years, they finally started our huge wildlife crossing... largest in the world. It goes over 8 freeway lanes plus exit lanes. Too many mountain lions were getting hit by cars trying to reach the other wilderness area. Most of the funding is from private donations. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/california-will-build-largest-wildlife-crossing-world-180972947/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallis_Annenberg_Wildlife_Crossing 4

It is only 26 degrees at 8:30 AM here in the NC mtns. What's with that?! It was supposed to warm right back up after a day of cold, but it looks like global cooling may quickly lead to an ice age. This is awful just awful I tell you. Pretty soon polar bears will wander through. Why at this rate of cooling I'm liable to be ice fishing come summer on the Gulf of Mexico coastline. 1

It has been 23 F at night last week but is back up to the low 40s this week with highs close to 60. A brief reprieve. Our highs went from the 80s one week, the 60s the next, and then the 40s! It just dipped down too fast and our bodies couldn't acclimatize. It always amazes me that in the spring we start shedding our jackets when it hits 50 if there is no breeze. In fall we grab our heavy jackets when it hits 50. 2 1

I may have seen one of those polar bears Neighbor this morning wade fishing in the gulf. Our family yearly reunion every year is at Rockport Texas. We fish a lot as our cabins are on the water, at the Gulf of Mexico. We got back last week and I had to wear a long sleeve shirt. It dropped way down into the seventies..... Imagine waking up each morning and see God's creation like this. Just a few of the many redfish drum.. The cold weather brings them out... 2
