Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine

and fellowship in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless,

is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?

The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

Philippians 2:1-4 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Philemon 1:6  That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless,

The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

Luke 24:

30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them that

He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.

31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him;

and He vanished from their sight.

32 And they said to one another, Did not our heart burn

within us while He talked with us on the road,

and while He opened the Scriptures to us?

33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem,

and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together,

34 saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!

35 And they told about the things that had happened on the road,

and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Is breaking of bread taken literally for worthy fellowship?

1 Corinthians 11:

26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,

you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord

in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread

and drink of the cup.

29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks

judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

What Is Fellowship?

Father, son, holy spirit,  the perfect fellowship..

Coming Together. Like minded believers that come together, where ever, when ever, how ever, to share what ever.
Together. A beautiful word. In Christ. Together.  Beautiful.
Koinonia,  sharing, fellowship, communion.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some,

but encouraging one another,

and all the more as you see the Day drawing near"

Fellowship is way more than gathering. It is like mindedness regarding the deity of Jesus, often being celebrated in a physical gathering place, but it can be today a distance surmounting gathering online, even on a Christian message board.

I think there is a difference between message boards and real life churches for sure. There seems to often be more controversy here than in a real chuch. At least in my experience. Then I have wondered why that is?

We've been called into this fellowship, and "truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son." (1 John 1:3) This is the oneness Christ prayed about in John 17.  And we can have this fellowship because we share the one Spirit.

To me, genuine fellowship in Spirit has a flow. ("Out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living waters")  We know when we are in the flow of the Spirit in fellowship with one another . . . there is the sense of life and His presence.

I hear you on that. Does that mean we are more restrained in a close fellowship? To me differences of opinion in my church groups have been more cordial, and when disagreed with I'll just say something like, " I never looked at it that way".

Recently I was talking to a friend of mine at a group meeting. We were on the subject of the lost at judgement and he made the comment that we don't know what that final discussion looks like implying there just might be another chance for a lost person at the throne to make a final decision. All of my study indicates this isn't likely, but neither could I completely disprove what he said on the spot, so I just listened and it made me think. No arguments. As brothers in Christ we simply get along.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
