35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Daniel 11:36 picks up in the time of the end from verse 35.   The king in verse 36 is the beast-king of Revelation 13, who has claimed to be god.

That person become the beast-king because the ten kings, i.e. ten leaders of the Roman Empire manifested in the end times as the EU, in Revelation 17:17 hand their kingdom over to him.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Becoming the king of the EU, or more appropriately the dictator of the EU, makes him the King of the West.

-----------------------------------------------

All nations from the four directions of the compass will be drawn into the middle east at the end of the 7 years.

nations of the West.

nations of the South

nations of the North

nations of the East.

All of Daniel 11:36-45 is about the king of the north.

Show me where Daniel says anything about a king of the west here.

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

If one looks closely.  1.  The king of the South (v.40) push against him.  2.  The king of the North (v.40) shall come against him.  3. Those of the East (v.44) (200,000,000 strong) trouble him; and those out of the West are not mentioned (A/C army).

Doug said Daniel 11:45 is about a king of the west .Not east.Stop changing directions.

Look closely at the subject of all these verses. The subject is the king of the north.

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

Think about when you were in grade school and your teacher asked you who is the subject of this story. You would have been able to answer this in grade school.

Think about it.  The "He " in all these verses is the dragon Satan.  Edom,  Moab, and Ammon are where those of Judea are to flee to. Protected for 42 months. If one looks at a map, the only route for the army of the South is to pass through Jerusalem on their way to Armegeddon. Captives taken, women ravaged.

To understand parts of Daniel, especially parts dealing with the time of the end, information must be taken from the New Testament.    As the mystery of God unfolds.

36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

In 2Thessalonians2:4 reveals that person is the revealed man of sin who later becomes the beast-king of Revelation 13.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

-------------------------------------------

The term "king of the west" does not appear directly in the text of Daniel 11.    Nor does "Jesus" by name appear in Daniel 7:13-14....but from the New Testament, we know that it is Him.

I have already explained how the king in Daniel 11:36 becomes the beast-king in my previous post.    So I am not going to repeat it here.

Everything you quote I've already memorized.

Your problem is you can't understand because you can't keep a single verse in the context of the message

The main character of Daniel 11:36-daniel 11:45 is the king of the north. And you are never going to understand who he is even though he has already appeared because you can't keep anything in context.

Everything I wrote is in context.   But you are not understanding the context, because you are not applying what God has revealed in the New Testament.

Marv, the "He" is not Satan.

During the second half of the seven years, when Satan has been cast down to earth having but a time, times, half time left - he will be indwelling the statue image of the beast-king, placed on the temple mount in Jerusalem by the false prophet.

People who worship that statue image will be unknowingly worshiping Satan.   Satan's indwelling of the statue image is what makes it appear to come alive and speak.

That statue image hiding Satan within will be brought to ashes at Jesus's return by the brightness of Jesus's coming.

Satan will thus be exposed there on the temple mount for all to see on that day.   Fulfilling Ezekiel 28:16-19.

-----------------------------------------------------

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

 ------------------------------------------------------------

All the people who will have been worshipping the statue image - will be shocked when they find out that they really will have been worshipping Satan.

Once exposed, in Revelation 20:1-3, an angel will descend from heaven and bind Satan will a chain and cast him into the bottomless pit prison.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
