How did these people get to the mountains on the day of the Lord?

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Answer-they fled very quickly

Mathew 24

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

These are two different companies of people.

In Mathew 24, our Lord is teaching His disciples by answering the three questions posed in verse 3. The setting is Judea and Jerusalem. It is aimed at people who live close to Jerusalem - for they must "SEE" the Abomination of Desolation. The warning is directed at those living in, and around Jerusalem. The Beast in the Temple is the center of the Great Tribulation. God's fury at what happens in Jerusalem is to be avoided. Running might save you.

In Revelation 6  our Lord opens the Seals of destruction over the WHOLE earth. The audience is "every" man. The earthquake and darkened sun will be seen and felt from Moscow to Patagonia. Here, running will not save you. So great is their fear they will seek suicide, but be unable to die till they have felt God's heavy hand of judgment.

No,it's the exact same group of people fleeing on the day of the Lord.

They are fleeing from the terrifying signs they are seeing in the heavens when the armed forces place the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem.

Luke 21

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

They flee in haste to the mountains and hide in caves.

Revelation 6

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

The people left their city being destroyed by great earthquake.

There is an earthquake in Jerusalem on that day caused by the abomination of desolation,which the armed forces place there.It also causes the heavens to depart from the earth like a scroll being rolled together.

12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

It's a very terrible weapon that consumes people as they stand on their feet.People who see it from a distance will flee in great fear.

If you expand the quote you will see that I highlighted some of your offered scriptures. Seems to me that Luke 21 concerns ONLY those in Judea, while Revelation 6 concerns "EVERY MAN ... of the earth."

The earth which was interpreted from the word "ghay" can mean judea and not the whole world.It can mean a country,kingdom,continent,the entire world or simply a handful of dirt.

So yes,it can be talking about judea.

Word: gh

Pronounce: ghay

Strongs Number: G1093

Orig: contracted from a primary word; soil; by extension a region, or the solid part or the whole of the terrene globe (including the occupants in each application):--country, earth(-ly), ground, land, world.

Use: TDNT-1:677,116 Noun Feminine

Heb Strong: H127 H178 H376 H776 H841 H953 H1250 H1366 H1471 H1516 H1870 H2022 H2465 H2724 H3004 H4725 H5892 H5971 H6010 H6083 H6160 H6850 H7704 H8397

  1. 1) arable land
    2) the ground, the earth as a standing place
    3) the main land as opposed to the sea or water
    4) the earth as a whole
    4a) the earth as opposed to the heavens
    4b) the inhabited earth, the abode of men and animals
    5) a country, land enclosed within fixed boundaries, a tract of land, territory, region

It's the same with those who take the mark of the beast.Most people believe it will be given to everyone in the world.brvsuse that's what they believe the word "ghay" means ,but I believe it will be given to everyone in Israel except the saints in Israel.

Benjamin netanyahu has already mentioned giving the mark to everyone in Israel a few years ago but stated that he will pass legislation so that everyone will get it.He has since been trying to change the laws and attempting to subdue the supreme Court which scripture shows the beast attempting to change laws.

Yes, but you avoided the rest of the verse. Here it is.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

The scope is "heaven", "every mountain", "every Island", the sum of the kings of the earth, and the aggregate of men. Maybe a count of all the Islands in Judea will settle it.

It is not a sin to have a wrong view of something. The Abomination of Desolation in Daniel 11 and 12 is something to do with the "holy Covenant". The Covenant is based on commandments which give God His rights. In Daniel 9 it is almost spelled out. The "Prince" that is (at some future date) to come, and whose people are Romans, will stop the daily oblation and set himself up in the Holy Place. The Covenant, the oblation, and the Holy Place point to one thing alone, Jerusalem's Temple - as 2nd Thessalonians 2 shows. Just forget about military activity. It is religion that motivates a man's actions.

You still ignored the meaning of the word.

It doesn't mean the entire world.The norths armed forces do not place the abomination of desolation in the north.There is only one area that is being targeted for destruction and that is the middle east.

Below is when the armed forces use the abomination of desolation.This is when the great tribulation takes place.

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

The north which is allied with Israel ,is going to destroy all the nations that have attacked and overcome the norths armed  forces in Israel.The north is not invading China,Russia or the United States.The north is not invading South Africa ,brazil,or Australia.It is invading the same area it has invaded in previous wars in Daniel 11:11 and Daniel 11:13 which you have witnessed in your lifetime.

The armed forces will innihilate hundreds of millions of people.Its not going to target just one building in the middle east which you believe to be God's temple.It will destroy everyone in the middle east from.Iran to Egypt that it can.Hundreds of millions of people will be killed in a matter of days. That is what the great tribulation is about.

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

He has 5244 nuclear warheads at his disposal to do whatever his heart desires.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
