This has got to be one of the most important part that we understand in God’s word , otherwise we will NEVER grow... as Born Again children of God....we will just keep on thinking in that “ old mindset “ that never dies..not until we are with the Lord in spirit...

This was only revealed to my heart via Gods Spirit a few months ago..the renewing of our minds  has penetrated my heart, but, I ask God that it penetrates much deeper.

What does the renewing of our minds mean in Gods word?

Daily refreshment of the Holy Spirit upon awakening from slumber through prayer and waiting upon the most High Lord and King.

Edit: Rom. 12: 1-2 (NKJV)

1I beseech[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

What does the renewing of our minds mean in Gods word?

The ability to receive wisdom from above by the Spirit.

Ephesians 4:20 But you have not so learned Christ,

21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him,

as the truth is in Jesus:

22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct,

the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God,

in true righteousness and holiness.

1 Corinthians 2:

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches,

but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God,

for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them,

because they are spiritually discerned

15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he

himself is rightly judged by no one.

16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?”

But we have the mind of Christ.

James 3:

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,

willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

What does the renewing of our minds mean in Gods word?

Man is made of three parts, Body, soul and spirit (Gen.2:7, 1st Thess.5:23). The soul of man is also made of three parts, mind, emotions and will. At the fall of man his flesh became utterly corrupt. The flesh makes demands of the soul, some legal and some illegal. By the time of the flood God made this observation;

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: ... 5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Ge 6:3–5)

In God's salvation work of this fallen man rebirth is for the spirit of man (Jn.3:6). Resurrection is for the body. The soul of man needs the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. That is, the soul must go through a process where it reacts to God's Word (written and instant) instead of reacting to the dictates of the flesh. The main part of the human soul is the thought-process (the mind). Every one, even non-Christians, know that the emotions are totally unreliable. The will (the decision process) will decide in favor of the flesh or the mind. The mature Christian is one whose mind is filled with the Word of God. The transformation of the soul is by ;
1. A steady diet of God's written word (John 6)
2. A conscious effort at obeying the Spirit in our human spirit (Rom.8)
3. The readiness to deny the soul when it makes demands contrary to God's demands
4. The readiness to put the flesh to death on a daily basis
5. A love-relationship with Jesus (2nd Cor.3:18)
6. Accepting, and being exercised by God's chastising (Heb.12)

This road is long and narrow. Few make Christian maturity. Paul, writing Philippians within four years of his martyrdom, says in Chapter 3:9-14, that he has not yet attained to maturity. This is after special revelation, special training, and serving the Lord diligently with much suffering for decades.

In Typology the process of transformation of the soul is Peter's name - Petrification. A piece of wood is chopped down and falls into the dirt. It is buried and undergoes a change of elements by water flowing through it. Out with the old and IN with the new elements. Then heat and pressure are added and one gets a piece of coal. If the process is stopped then, it is only good for burning. But if the process of heat and great pressure continues, a diamond is formed - a precious stone for the building of God's House (1st Cor.3). Most Christians avoid such a process because they think that suffering (heat and pressure) is not meant for God's people. After a while, as Matthew 13 shows, suffering makes them unfruitful. One must consciously cooperate with the Holy Spirit in this matter. So Paul finishes Philippians 3:9-14 with STRIVING.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
