In this dream I had to go on a journy with my family. Our job was to take this big wooden cross to this spot where people gathered to worship every year. In order to get it there, we could not walk, but we had to float it upstream This required us walking in the water against the current. It took a long while, but even though it was upstream it was not overly hard. We got to this huge hilly plain filled with golden grass. I remember that the place looked less beautiful than it had before, and I wondered why. We tried to put the cross up, first by propping it up with sticks, but the sticks bent and would not hold the cross up. We tried to stick it in the ground, but the ground crumbled beneath it and would not hold it. Then we knew an army of evil men were coming after us. We ran, and when we encountered some soldiers we knocked them out but did not kill them, leaving them in a place where their fellows would find them, all the while still running. We came to this house, and hid in there. The men came looking in the house...and we tried escapeing in a trap door under the bed. We were making our way away from the house, and that was when I awoke.

I know this dream has some significance, but I am not too certain on what...

Maybe it symbolizes your fight of good vs. evil, protecting your family from the world outside while carrying the cross trying to prevent evil men of robbing the innocence of what is good.

Well the only thing i can tell you fore sure is that it is a Trib dream. that is a given.

The cross you are careing is of course selfexplantory. You and youre famile careying it resembles you faith in the Lord.

Haveing to carry it up streem could resemble a strugle of some sort but sence it is noe a hard trek it is nothing that you all can't handle together giveing that you faith is so strong.

The reason that the cross would not stay up could represent the fall of the church during the trib peorid.

Of course the army comming for you is excalty what it seems like, mans armys comming to kill off all who still belive or refuse to take the mark.

The running and hideing of course is just that.

The hatch under the bed leadeing to a tunnel is most likley saying that God will provide a way of excape for you all but yet again only youre combined faith will allow this to happen.

The fact the you wake up after starting down the tunnel is of a majior significance becouse of the timeing in wich it happend it could represent or mean that after that point the rest is up to you how far you get or where you come out (if there is an end to it.) Is something that you may have to find out for youre self.

Allso it could be a dreem of warning meaning that something veary dangress is about to happen and that only with the combined faith of youre intire famile will you be able to weather the storm.

Now for a question Can you rember where you where excalty or at least what youre serroundings looked like. The more detale the better.

It looked like Michigan in late fall - very woodsy everywhere, little to no civilization was around, and all the trees were bare. The feild was by a large body of water...the feild was hilly and above the water, and one side of the feild sloped down to the side, then flattened towards the body of water. There was no vegetation but the golden grass. The enemy came from the large body of water, where the slope was so we were able to see them before they saw us since we were on higher ground.

Remember Knight of Christ that God is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the Alpha and Omega.

During our hard times, when it looks as though there are only one set of foot prints in the sand - it is because Jesus is carrying us.

Put on the armour of God everyday and affirm Gods' word.

I am reading this, and am reminded of a dream I had that had much spiritual significance. It involved a group of us (Christians) crossing a field--we were leaving a wooded area at one side and heading to a wooded area on the other side. It was a familiar place (in fact, the place was on my farm, where I grew up). Half way across the field, we saw a bunch of people coming out of the woods on the other side of the field. We thought it was an enemy army, and many people became afraid. Some of us decided that we would stay and hold our ground, so others could escape back to the other side. However, when these people came out of the woods, instead of coming to fight us, they asked us how to be saved...

...at the end of my dream, we had a celebration. I remember waking up from it speaking in tongues.

--------

the meaning of that dream was given soon after: That we will be in a familiar place, preparing to move into a wilderness--one that we are also familiar with, but only because we are close to it. From this wilderness people will come, and many of us as Christians will feel fearful about these people, thinking that persecution will come from it, and so many will shrink back, not in denying their faith, but in their pursuit to witness. But the people in the wilderness will instead desire after Christ, and will want to know about salvation, and we will see from it many saved, and have reason to rejoice.

This dream was meant for a specific group of people (a campus group of Christians), for a specific place (the univserity we attend... a familiar place, yet also a wilderness in regards to the things that happen there). I believe for those who are involved we are seeing this dream starting to come to pass, as we begin to step forward to minister to those on our campus.

As for your dream, there are a few things that stand out, that I feel confident in giving an interpretation for (and I say this with much prayer and thought--and if not for a strong spiritual prompting, I would not reply, even if I had an interpretation given to me). I also write this without having read anyone elses posts--if there be agreement with them, than it stands as a witness.

-------

The bringing of the cross upstream to a place of 'worship' represents this: you are bringing the message of the cross to others--or, as it is being brought to a place of worship, you are brining the message of the cross BACK to others. Yet that message is resisted, and so it is an upstream journey. Yet Christ is with you, and so the journey is easy, though it is long.

The golden grass on the hill, which is the place of 'worship' is this: it represents vanity. Though it is golden in color, it is only grass, which is here today, and tomorrow burned. It is a church that thinks it has much, but really has nothing, and what it has is parishable. It once was a beautiful place spiritually, but it has lost its beauty...

The difficulty you have with proping the cross up while on the hill has two meanings: one is that the people you are seeking to reveal the truth of Christ to have hardened their hearts. The cross no longer stands in the center of their lives, and so the cross no longer stands in their lives. Yet it also represents the folly of trying to declare the message of the cross thru our own efforts. You are trying to prop the cross up with sticks or stand it in a hole, but are not relying on the Holy Spirit to uphold the cross. Your display of truth, though noble, is being done under the wrong power--your own, and not Christ's.

The people attacking you are those who resent the message of the cross and hate the truth--both within the 'church' and outside of it. They will seek to attack you on a spiritual and emotional level, and force you from the place of 'worship'. They will seek to hinder you even after you flee, yet you will overcome them, and even in overcoming them show them mercy. These attacks upon you, for holding to the truth of the gospel, will continue--they will not cease, even if you seek refuge in other places (in a house).

In regards to your escape down the tunnel: God will continue to provide a means out--though His method of rescue is not meant to be revealed at this time...

Again, I write this only with great prayer and thought being taken before doing so, and in making certain that my mind and spirit are in the right place, and only with knowing that there is a Spiritual prompting for me to do so.

I can't say I have a Word like Daniel, but here are some thoughts:

Are you going against the flow of the world to establish a work in Christ, but haven't fully figured out by faith how to to get it to stand yet. The Devil is running you off before it is accomplished.

Or, are you, your family, or your church going against the flow of God on a ministry work (or prayer request) because its not (fully) rooted in Word of God truth and the Devil is running you off? Is your church Bible-based? Lack of knowlege or sin can keep a work from taking root because God's works are done in truth. If that's not the case, then learn to run the Devil off, so you can finish founding the work on the firm foundation of Jesus-the incorruptible Word of God.

Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Luk 10:19 MKJV Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Just some input. I had a dream about 4 years ago and the interpretation didn't come until after chatting with a Christian bookstore owner. She said airplanes generaly represent the church. The whole picture unfolded then and there. I knew exactly what the dream meant. It confirmed something I was experiencing negatively in the modern day church.

I bought a book on dreams from her too. I'll see if I can find it and see if it mentions up-stream.

all the dreams i have had, and the vissions also, God has granted me the meaning of them.....

ask God for the peticular meaning of them, the understanding for them......

i wuld be reluctant to try and tell you what yours might mean with my human mind....

blessings to you.....

and spend time with the Lord to find the understanding....

it may only be a small piece of the entire meassage given to you....

quite a few of the dreams and vissions my wife has had, and also the dreams and vissions i have had, for the longest time, did not seem to have any ties with each other...... and even the ones i have had made sense one by one, but would not link together...

we write our dreams and vissions in our note books.....

a couple months ago, while my wife was at a womans conferance, and i was at home... we each started seeing how everything tied together.....

my dreams and vissions linked up with her dreams and vissions and brought a large portion of the puzzle together....

these were not something that took only a short time.... but over several years.......

we have to remember that Abraham did not see the whole picture, but only a portion of it...... God said go.... Abraham said ok... and traveled.... not even knowing where he was going.... but now look at the promise that God had given Abraham....... i do not think he would have guessed how much he was blessed.....

Thank you...I felt truth in this as I read it. The church I am in has lost it's beauty and vigor...this is something I have noticed and so has others. And it's very true that I often rely too much on myself and not on God. Lately, God has been really pouding it into my head that I need to rely on him, and this is yet another confirmation of that...and as far as people hardening their hearts, my dad in particular comes to mind. He is straying from God, and refuses prayer from my mom and I...and I have been attacked on every side by the enemy lately - my boyfriend breaking up with me and the feelings from that, my families problems and me trying to fix them when I should give it to God, stress from school, and work....

I had this dream a while ago, maybe months ago, but I didn't feel a great need to get the meaning from it until now...now I know why.

This is a repost of my response to your post in the Need Advice forum:

___________________________________________________________________________

For the most part, I believe that a person's dreams, and their meanings, are between them and God. Yes, God still speaks through dreams, but how we interpret and view those dreams needs to line up with scripture. Remember, the Bible is complete. Everything we need to know from now until forever is contained in the Bible.

Search out your dreams in the Bible. See if they line up with scripture. If they don't, they don't mean anything from God. If they do line up with scripture, however, then pray and ask God for the meaning. He wouldn't give you a meaningful dream without letting you know what the purpose of it is.

I personally believe that if your dream means anything from God, it will line up with what God has already revealed through scripture. The scriptures interpret the dream, the dream does not interpret the scriptures.

Does your dream line up with scripture? If so, ask God how He wants you to respond to the dream.

James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
