God made us. So doesnt he owe us heaven then? He brought us into this world after all. It seems unfair that if we then reject life we will burn in hell eternally, i mean shouldnt there be a 3rd option? Like death? I mean he made us, we didnt ask to be born, so then if we reject life, doesnt it seem unfair to punish us eternally???

On the contrary, we owe God everything, God owes us nothing at all.

Life is a gift, how would you feel if you gave someone a vauable gift and they tossed it away like garbage? of course you wouldn't want to punish them eternally , but none the less you would be very peeved and hurt.

But this is much bigger, there is no greater gift than life, so if you reject it , God would be very hurt.

On the whole eternal punishment thing, God doesn't send you to hell you send yourself there, you know the rules and the commandments and the consequences of not trying to obey them. God brought us into the world to give us the chance to prove ourselves as good christians and if we are, we get eternal life and happiness, i dont think thats harsh for obeying a few rules now is it? lol very generous if you ask me. :)

Daughter,

Good News!

There are only two options, life and death. The wages of sin is death. Choose ye this day, life or death. Everlasting torture is a lie of the devil. It came out of Ancient Babylon and was introduced in the dark ages by a 'Mystery Babylon' or false christianity. From the beginning the wages of sin have been death.

The first instruction that God gave to man was disobedience leads to death:

Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

We choose:

Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Paul knew the wages or payment received for sin is death:

Rom 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2Tim 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

John knew:

1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

The teaching of eternal torment was not developed until long after the death of the Apostles.

It was not until the year 553 and the Council of Constantinople in the time of Justinian that the teaching of everlasting torture in hell became an official doctrine of the Catholic Church. It comes from a misunderstanding of the 'aeons' in the Greek. An 'aeon' is an age or a set predetermined period of time. All are resurected at the end of time, of 'aeons', The righteous receive endless live, and the lost suffer the 'second death' in the lake of fire. This is how and where they die. They suffer proportional to the amount of sin they commited, for God is a just God. The only things that are eternal are life and death. Life is forever and death is forever.

Because of our sins, the only thing God owes us is death. Yet in His great love, He offers us the choice to repent from our sins and choose life. It is totally up to us. We all will choose one or the other.

I have an indepth study on the subject if your interested either personal message me or email me and I will attach it to you.

God Bless,

Dennis

Agreed...don't fall away from the truth simply because someone tells you hell is not eternal. Search both sides out and hold to that which is true.

As to whether or not God "owes" us anything...read Romans 8-10....and yes, it should humble us. We are not nearly as important as we like to make ourselves think.

In Christ,

Eric

Pilgram (Dennis),

I wish you were correct about Hell because I don't understand the need for it. Nor will anyone ever be able to explain it in away that will make me understand it. Still, the overwhelming Biblical evidence suggest that there is an eternal Hell. It also suggests that the vast majority of souls who live on Earth will end up there. Only a small percentage go to heaven. Very small. Just read some of the OSAS posts here.

It seems unfair that if we then reject life we will burn in hell eternally, i mean shouldnt there be a 3rd option? Like death? I mean he made us, we didnt ask to be born, so then if we reject life, doesnt it seem unfair to punish us eternally???

Matthew 21:37-38

Jesus replied:"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. "

So we should follow his commandment not because we want to go to heaven but because we love him. We love him because he loved us first.

God owe us anything at all. He is the one that gave his only son to die on the cross for our sins. He went through so much pain even before hewas crucified on the cross. Physical and emotional

John 19.

Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged. the soldiers twisted toghter a crown of thorns and put it on his head.

Luke 22:63-64

The men who were garding Jesus began mocking and beating him.

Psalm

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are cruched in spirit.

So you see we owe him. He dous not owe us. He has allready died on the cross so that our sins would be forgiven if we repnet. We are washed by the blood of Christ.

My question to the one that asked this question is dont you think that he already did enough? And if you question your self about 'dousent he owe use eternal life in heven?' always read the bible. You could also wath the movie the Passion of the Christ. Or even think about the times that God has been there for you and gieded you when you have goon through trubled time. :)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
