Matthew 24

Matthew 24:4-8

" And Jesus answered, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall decive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against

nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of

sorrows."

Many of these things have happened and are continuing to happen each day.

There are many who claim they are Christ. There are a lot of earthquakes,

especially in cities built on fault lines. There are famines, in Africa, and some

in Asia. Pestilence, oh yeah. SARS, west nile, mad cow, monkey pox, AIDS,

HIV, you name it. And all the people dying of cancer. It's on the rise each

year! And we did hear about wars, and they did happen. Nation aganist

nation: US/ Britain and Iraq, US and Afghanistan, war on terrorism, gulf war.

Most of these things have been fulfilled already, are being fulfilled today, and

will continue to be fulfilled.

Yes, exactly like Our Lord Jesus prophesied that it would be. And yet, many

don't realize how exact Jesus was.

I hope to help as many people that are disbelievers as I possibly can.

There's another way to read that verse...it could be said that many will say that He, (Jesus) is the Christ but those who do affirm He is the Christ are not of His flock....

Recall those who perform miracles in His name...and are yet turned away in the end...

Amen, Blindseeker! That's how I felt most recently with some people who suddenly appeared out of nowhere and began posting all kinds of scripture with a spin on it...twisted and mishapen to fit a contrived context.

Speaking of Matthew 24... the other day during my daily bible time I came across this verse:

Matthew 24:10 (NKJV)

And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Wow! This really leapt off the page when I was reading it. Doesn't it seem to ya'll that everyone is offended nowadays by something or other. My goodness you can hardly say anything anymore without offending somebody. I never really noticed this verse much before - I guess just following the recent headlines made it stick out in my mind.
