Now the works of the flesh are self evident... adultery, fornication, uncleanness, a disregard of rules,
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murder, drunkenness,

By the power of the Spirit we go away from the works of the flesh.
We take hold of that power through faith, the death and resurrection of Christ shed forth the Holy Spirit freely,
believing such, we are indwelt and empowered by the Holy Spirit to overcome the flesh.

If anyone transgresses (1 John 3:4, disobeys the Torah)
and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, they do not have God.
Whoever abides in the doctrine of Christ, has both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:9-10  (Matthew 7:28)

Glad to see we evidently agree that we should obey Torah.

Beloved ones, we heard:

“And he said unto them, Take heed WHAT YE HEAR: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: AND UNTO YOU THAT HEAR SHALL MORE BE GIVEN.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let us consider again what our Lord Jesus taught:

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Why did Jesus talk about FALSE PROPHETS and RAVENING WOLVES then He talked about FRUIT?

For we heard Jesus talked about GRAPES OF THORNS, FIGS OF THISTLES and He also talked about a CORRUPT TREE or EVIL FRUIT.

For our Lord and teacher Jesus said:

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

Be cautious and alert to the dangers of false teachers or false proclaimer of the will of God or those who say that ( a specified thing) will happen in the future, that are false which hide malicious intent, for inwardly they are greedy, violent, and devouring people.

Then we heard:

“Ye shall know THEM by THEIR FRUITS. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That we perceive THEM  are FALSE PROPHETS and RAVENING WOLVES and THEIR FRUITS are that THEY SPEAK FORTH FALSE TEACHING and FALSE will of God and FALSEHOOD about THE FUTURE.

What is the answer to the question:

Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

No.

Men gather NOT or save NOT GRAPES OF THORNS but men save GRAPES OF WHOLENESS.

Men gather NOT or save NOT FIGS OF THISTLES but men save FIGS OF PLEASANTNESS or FIGS OF GOOD TESTIMONIES.

Then we heard:

“Even so every GOOD tree bringeth forth GOOD fruit; but a CORRUPT tree bringeth forth EVIL fruit.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

All the same every GOOD tree bringeth forth GOOD fruit.

Paraphrasing for more clarity:

All the same every man placed the GOOD word of God by the Heavenly Father in his or her heart speak forth GOOD teaching or GOOD will of God or GOOD prophecy that are TRUE.

Selah ( reflect to pause)

but a CORRUPT tree bringeth forth EVIL fruit.

Paraphrasing for clarity:

but a man placed the CORRUPTED word by THE DEVIL in his or her heart speak forth EVIL TEACHING, EVIL will, or EVIL PROPHECY that are FALSE.

Then we heard:

“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

A GOOD man cannot speak forth EVIL TEACHING, EVIL will, or EVIL PROPHECY that are FALSE, neither can a CORRUPT man  speak forth GOOD teaching or GOOD will of God or GOOD prophecy that are TRUE.

Why do Jesus speak only A GOOD TREE ? Why NOT many GOOD TREES?

This, we heard:

“I am THE VINE, ye are THE BRANCHES: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same BRINGETH FORTH MUCH FRUIT: for without me ye can do nothing.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Beloved ones, let us abide in Jesus Christ and we in Him, the same bringeth much fruit, that we speak forth THE WORD OF TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL or THE TRUE HOPE.

Then we heard Jesus said:

“Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

Every man that speak not forth THE WORD OF TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL or TRUE HOPE is hewn down ( is cut down or fell), and cast into  the fire ( or helplessness).

For we also heard Jesus said:

“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Beloved ones, let us abide in Jesus, for we shall be gathered or saved as sanctified, that is flourishing; and men (or angels) gather (or save) us and enhance us into the living waters (or living spirits) and we are quenched from helplessness, for we are helped.

Next, Jesus said:

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

For this reason by THEIR WORKS OF INIQUITY, that is CONVERSATION OF INIQUITY or WORKS of GOODNESS, that is CONVERSATION OF GOODNESS you shall know THEM.

For this, we heard:

“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: And to him that ordereth HIS CONVERSATION ARIGHT will I shew THE SALVATION OF GOD.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭50‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“among whom also we all had our CONVERSATION in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Beloved ones, let us order our conversation aright will He show the salvation of God.

To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ.

Amen

Yes, we should abide in Christ's words (Jn.8:31) which teach us to obey Torah (Mt. 4:4;5:19-20;7:21-23;13:41-43;22:37;23:2-3,23,34;Lk.10:25-28).

Blessings...

Beloved ones, we heard:

“Enter ye in at the STRAIT gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What is STRAIT ?

This is what we heard:

“When the men of Israel saw that they were in a STRAIT, (FOR THE PEOPLE WERE DISTRESSED,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭13‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We perceive the adjective word “STRAIT” is  DISTRESS or PREPLEXED.

How may we know what is THE STRAIT GATE or

THE DISTRESSED GATE or THE PREPLEXED GATE? What is “THE GATE” ?

This we heard:

“Wisdom is too high for a fool: He openeth not his MOUTH in the GATE.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We perceive THE STRAIT GATE is THE DISTRESS MOUTH or THE PREPLEXED MOUTH.

Paraphrasing for clarity:

Enter ye in at the DISTRESS MOUTH: for wide is THE MOUTH, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

because DISTRESS is THE MOUTH, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Beloved ones, let us consider again what Jesus taught us:

“ENTER YE IN  at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

HOW may we ENTER IN AT THE STRAIT GATE ?

Let us compare spiritually. This we heard:

“Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which KEEPETH THE TRUTH may ENTER IN.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

KEEPETH YE THE TRUTH when DISTRESSING or PREPLEXING: for wide is THE MOUTH, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Beloved ones, let us consider again what Jesus taught us:

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for WIDE is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let us spiritually compare what is WIDE.

Let us consider this:

“Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set WIDE OPEN UNTO THINE ENEMIES: the fire shall devour thy bars.”

‭‭Nahum‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity:

KEEPETH YE THE TRUTH when DISTRESSING or PREPLEXING: for OPEN UNTO THINE ENEMIES is THE MOUTH, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Again, beloved ones, let us consider what Jesus our teacher said:

“Enter ye in at the STRAIT gate: for wide is the gate, and BROAD IS THE WAY, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

because strait is the gate, and NARROW IS THE WAY, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How we may we understand WHAT IS BROAD IS THE WAY and NARROW IS THE WAY?

This, we heard apostle Paul said:

“For I am IN A STRAIT BETWIXT TWO, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We perceive in a strait or when distressing or preplexing, we are between two.

Let us consider what David said:

“And David said unto God, I am in a great STRAIT: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.”

‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭21‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We perceive BROAD IS THE WAY and NARROW IS THE WAY. There are two ways, that are opposite to one another. And there are separation between the two.

This is what we heard about what is BROAD:

“But ALL THEIR WORKS THEY DO FOR TO BE SEEN OF MEN: they make BROAD their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And this what we have heard what is NARROW:

“And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a NARROW place, WHERE WAS NO WAY TO TURN EITHER TO THE RIGHT HAND OR TO THE LEFT.”

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭22‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left ?

This, we heard:

“that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from THE COMMANDMENT, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭17‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day,

TO THE RIGHT HAND, OR TO THE LEFT, to go after other gods to serve them.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: TURN NOT FROM IT TO THE RIGHT HAND OR TO THE LEFT, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We perceive NARROW IS THE WAY. We perceive where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left is THE COMMANDMENT.

WHAT is THE COMMANDMENT?

“Wherefore the law is holy, and

THE COMMANDMENT HOLY, JUST, AND GOOD.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now the end of the commandment is CHARITY OUT OF A PURE HEART, AND OF A GOOD CONSCIENCE, AND OF FAITH UNFEIGNED: from which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity on Matthew 7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

KEEPETH YE THE TRUTH when DISTRESSING or PREPLEXING: for OPEN UNTO THINE ENEMIES is THE MOUTH, and ALL THEIR WORKS THEY DO FOR TO BE SEEN OF MEN is THE REBELLION, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

because DISTRESS or PREPLEXED is THE MOUTH, and

ALL HIS WORKS WE BELIEVE FOR TO BE PERCEIVED OF GOD is THE COMMANDMENT, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Beloved ones, let us consider again what our teacher Jesus taught us:

“Enter ye in at the STRAIT gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION, and many there be which go in thereat:

because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, WHICH LEADETH UNTO LIFE , and few there be that find it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How we may understand what THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION and WHICH LEADETH UNTO LIFE?

That we may understand: THE REBELLION to God’s commandment, that is unholy or

profane, unjust, and evil, that is selfish out of an evil heart, and of an evil conscience, and of unbelief feigned lead to destruction or loss of life.

That we may understand:

THE COMMANDMENT, that is holy, just and good, that is CHARITY OUT OF A PURE HEART, AND OF A GOOD CONSCIENCE, AND OF FAITH UNFEIGNED which lead unto EVERLASTING LIFE.

Paraphrasing for clarity on Matthew 7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

KEEPETH YE THE TRUTH when DISTRESSING or PREPLEXING: for OPEN UNTO THINE ENEMIES is THE MOUTH, and ALL THEIR WORKS THEY DO FOR TO BE SEEN OF MEN is THE REBELLION, that leadeth to LOSS OF LIFE, and many there be which go in thereat:

because DISTRESS or PREPLEXED is THE MOUTH, and

ALL HIS WORKS WE BELIEVE FOR TO BE PERCEIVED OF GOD is THE COMMANDMENT, which leadeth unto EVERLASTING LIFE, and few there be that find it.

Beloved ones, let us consider again what our teacher Jesus taught us:

“Enter ye in at the STRAIT gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT:

because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How we may understand: MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT?

Let us explore first “MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT”.

Let us spiritually compare.

This is the first word, we have heard about MANY in the Bible:

“As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of MANY NATIONS.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And this  is the first word, that  we have heard in the Bible about THERE BE:

“And God said, Let THERE BE  light: and THERE WAS light.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Also, this is the first word, that  we have heard in the Bible about GO IN:

“And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, GO IN unto my maid; it may be that I may OBTAIN CHILDREN by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭16‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And the meaning of THEREAT according to dictionary is AT THAT PLACE.

Likewise, this is the first word, that we have heard in the Bible about THEREAT:

“For Aaron and his sons shall WASH THEIR HANDS AND THEIR FEET THEREAT:

when they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:

so they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭30‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

For we also heard:

He that hath CLEAN HANDS, and a pure heart; WHO HATH NOT LIFTED UP HIS SOUL UNTO VANITY, nor sworn deceitfully.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭24‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬

That we may understand: that those who have NOT washed their hands, that they have lifted their souls unto vanity.

For we also heard:

“Yea, he LOVED the people; All his saints are in thy HAND: And they sat down at thy FEET; Every one shall RECEIVE OF THY WORDS.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭33‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That we may understand: those who have NOT washed their feet, for they have not received of His words.

Paraphrasing for clarity on Matthew 7‬:‭13‬ KJV‬‬

Keepeth ye the truth when distressing or preplexing: for open unto thine enemies is the mouth, and all their works they do for to be seen of men is the rebellion, that leadeth to loss of life, and NATIONS THERE ARE WHICH OBTAIN CHILDREN AT THAT PLACE:

Paraphrasing for more clarity:

Keepeth ye the truth when distressing or preplexing: for open unto thine enemies is the mouth, and all their works they do for to be seen of men is the rebellion, that leadeth to loss of life, and NATIONS THERE ARE WHICH OBTAIN CHILDREN WHEN THEY HAVE LIFTED THEIR SOULS UNTO VANITY AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED OF HIS WORDS:

Now, let us explore secondly “FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT?

Let us compare spiritually.

This is what we have heard first in the Bible about FEW:

“And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a FEW DAYS, at the least ten; after that she shall go.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭24‬:‭55‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And this  is the first word, that  we have heard in the Bible about THERE BE:

“And God said, Let THERE BE  light: and THERE WAS light.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the first, that  we have heard in the Bible about FIND IT:

“Go ye, get you straw where ye can FIND IT: yet NOT ought of YOUR WORK SHALL BE DIMINISHED.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And this is what our Lord and teacher Jesus said:

“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and HE THAT LOSETH HIS LIFE  FOR MY SAKE shall FIND IT ”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity on Matthew 7‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and DAYS THERE ARE THAT YOURS WORKS SHALL BE INCREASED.

Paraphrasing for more clarity:

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and DAYS THERE ARE THAT YOU LOSE YOUR LIVES FOR HIS SAKE.

For we also heard:

“For we which live are ALWAY delivered unto death FOR JESUS’ SAKE, that THE LIFE ALSO OF JESUS MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR MORTAL FLESH.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for more clarity :

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and DAYS THERE ARE THAT THE LIFE ALSO OF JESUS MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR MORTAL FLESH.

Beloved ones, let us now paraphrase together, that we may understand what Jesus said on Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬.

Paraphrasing for clarity:

Keepeth ye the truth when distressing or preplexing: for open unto thine enemies is the mouth, and all their works they do for to be seen of men is the rebellion, that leadeth to loss of life, and nations there are which obtain children when they have lifted their souls unto vanity and have not received of His words:

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and days there are that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Selah

Beloved ones, let us keep the truth when distressing or preplexing, that we open unto our Friend, Jesus, for all His works (spiritual conversations) we believe for to be perceived of God, is charity out of a pure love, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned, that lead unto everlasting life, that days there are that that we lift our souls unto the gospel of God and receive of His words, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ.

Amen

“Enter ye in at the STRAIT gate: for wide is the gate, and BROAD IS THE WAY, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

because strait is the gate, and NARROW IS THE WAY, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How we may we understand WHAT IS BROAD IS THE WAY and NARROW IS THE WAY?

Keepeth ye the truth when distressing or preplexing: for open unto thine enemies is the mouth, and all their works they do for to be seen of men is the rebellion, that leadeth to loss of life, and NATIONS THERE IS WHICH OBTAIN CHILDREN AT THAT PLACE:

Paraphrasing for more clarity:

Keepeth ye the truth when distressing or preplexing: for open unto thine enemies is the mouth, and all their works they do for to be seen of men is the rebellion, that leadeth to loss of life, and NATIONS THERE IS WHICH OBTAIN CHILDREN WHEN THEY HAVE LIFTED THEIR SOULS UNTO VANITY AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED OF HIS WORDS:

Paraphrasing for clarity on Matthew 7‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and DAYS THERE IS THAT YOURS WORKS SHALL BE INCREASED.

Paraphrasing for more clarity:

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and DAYS THERE IS THAT YOU LOSE YOUR LIVES FOR HIS SAKE.

For we also heard:

“For we which live are ALWAY delivered unto death FOR JESUS’ SAKE, that THE LIFE ALSO OF JESUS MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR MORTAL FLESH.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for more clarity :

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and DAYS THERE IS THAT THE LIFE ALSO OF JESUS MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST IN OUR MORTAL FLESH.

Beloved ones, let us now paraphrase together, that we may understand what Jesus said on Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬.

Paraphrasing for clarity:

Keepeth ye the truth when distressing or preplexing: for open unto thine enemies is the mouth, and all their works they do for to be seen of men is the rebellion, that leadeth to loss of life, and nations there is which obtain children when they have lifted their souls unto vanity and have not received of His words:

because distress or preplexed is the mouth and all His works we believe for to be perceived of God is the commandment,

which leadeth unto everlasting life, and days there is that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

Selah

Beloved ones, let us keep the truth when distressing or preplexing, that we open unto our Friend, Jesus, for all His works (spiritual conversations) we believe for to be perceived of God, is charity out of a pure love, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned, that lead unto everlasting life, that days there is that that we lift our souls unto the gospel of God and receive of His words, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ.

Amen

Yes, if you want eternal life, then obey Torah (Lk.10:25-28).

Blessings...

Glad to see we evidently agree that we should obey Torah.

2 John 1:9-11

they do not have God. Whoever abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son"

We can disobey the Torah, the requirement is to obey Christ.

The rules from Christ are only about 17.
The rules from the Torah are about 616.

The good news, stated multiple ways in the new testament, is that we need only follow Christ.

Most of the "613" OT Laws are not for everyone.  Some are for Kings, Priest, Slave owners, Feast, Farmers, Herdsman, etc...  Deuteronomy also known as the Second Law (Secondary Laws to the Ten Commandments) that was given to Moses and was the civil statutes they were to live by once they crossed over into the land of Israel (Deut 5:31).  These were the laws governing the land of Israel and it governed laws such as marriage, divorce, rape, incest, theft murder, caring for the poor, farming, livestock, land ownership, sickness, slavery,  etc... It would be comparable to the 30,000+ statutes and laws the US has that everyone living here is required to obey.

The Book of Leviticus was written for the Levitical Priest to govern temple worship, ceremonial duties, feast, etc...  The Royal Law as James calls it are the 10 Commandments and it applies to everyone. It is the Supreme Law of God.  I would say it is much like the Constitution of all other sub-laws that you refer too.

I was reading recently that there are over 1000 commandments given in the NT, but if we want to be specific about the Commandments that Christ gave directly it is a lot more than 17 commandments.  I am currently working on a list of commandments that Jesus gave, here is a short list.  I am still working though a few other Gospels.  God's commandments can be summed up in two Commandments: Love God and Love Others and if we are keeping the Commandments of Christ you are also fulfilling the Royal Law.

Jesus Commandments:

Repent and Believe (Mak 1:15)
Be Baptized (Mark 16:16)
Must Be Born Again (John 3:3-21)
Love God (Matt 22:37-38)
Love Your Neighbor (Matt 22:39)

Do Not Murder or be Angry with your Brother (Matt 5:22-24)
Do Not Lust (Mat 5:27-28)
Do Not Commit Adultery or Divorce Unjustly (Mat 5:29-39)
Do not Return Evil with Evil (Mat 5:39-42)

Treat Others Like You Want to be Treated  (Matthew 7:12)
Follow the Narrow Path that leads to Life (Mat 7:13-14)

Worship God in Truth and In Spirit (Jn 4:24)
Deny Yourself and Take up Your Cross and Follow Him (Mat 16:24)
Have Faith in God (Mar 11:22-24)
Do This in Remembrance of Me  (Mat 26:26-28)
Wait for The Promise of the Father to receive Power from on High (Luke 24:49)
Preach Repentance and Deliverance of Sins among all the Nations. (Luk 24:47)
Go Make Disciples, Baptizing them and Teaching them to Obey His Commandments (Mat 28:19:20)
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils (Mat 10:8)
Endure until the End (Mat 24:13)

You are wrong.

The consequences of Torah-disobedience are here: Mt. 5:19-20

Also here: Mt. 7:21-23

Also here: Mt. 13:41-42

The Torah IS the "rules from Christ", as I've shown.

The good news is the GOSPEL.

Peter tells us that the GOSPEL is that TORAH ENDURES FOREVER (1Pe.1:25 citing Is.40:8).

Please repent and believe the Gospel.

The Gospel upholds Torah-obedience, as Peter has told us.

Blessings...

Yes....

And note that Mt. 22:37 cites Dt. 6 which upholds TORAH-OBEDIENCE (Dt. 6:25) as the proper expression of our love for God (Dt.6:4-5).

Sure enough, John tells us the same thing:  Love for God is expressed in obedience to God's commands (1Jn.5:3) which, of course, are contained in the written Torah of Moses.

So let's obey Torah!  That's what the Messiah and apostles taught us to do.

And yes, some Torah portions are presently unobservable.....so let's grow in faithful obedience to presently observable Torah portions.

And remember that we will, in the future, again obey 100% of ALL Torah (Dt. 30:1-8).

After all, the Torah Covenant is eternal (Ps.105:8-10) and passes directly into the New Covenant (Jer.31:31-33) which is also eternal (Jer.32:40).

Blessings...

You are wrong.

How do you obey Deuteronomy 6:8-9 ?

Do you wear mixed fabric? Deuteronomy 22:11
You have all 100% one material clothing that you always wear?

Are all of the animals you eat drained of blood properly?
Do you wear ribbons of blue?

You observe each and every Sabbath? Multiple weekly and monthly days of not working?
You observe each feast likewise not working during the Sabbath of the feast days?

We do disobey the Torah, the good news is that we need only obey Christ.

And His commands are not grievous 1 John 5:3

They have a general summary, Matthew 7:12,
and also are given to us in a nice quick simple way in Luke chapter 6.

The commands of Jesus are not difficult to put into practice, they are not grievous.

And through His indwelling Spirit we are granted the fruits we need to obey Christ.

there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed,
saying that it was needful to circumcise them, and command them to keep the law of Moses (the Torah)
Acts 15:5

It seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us (apostles)
to lay on you no greater burden other than these necessary things;
That you abstain from meats offered to idols (Deuteronomy 5:8-10 Leviticus 19:4)
and from any blood (Leviticus 17:14) and from things strangled
and from fornication (Leviticus chapter 18)
from which if you keep yourselves, you shall do well. Fare ye well.
Acts 15:28-29

a lot more than 17 commandments

The detailed overview we get of His specific teachings in Matthew 5 through 7 is about 17 commands.

And what we see in Luke chapter 6 is not extensive, His commands are not grievous,
therefore it is good news that we need only follow Christ.

What Christ taught is the royal law in detail, love for your fellow man in mind and action.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
