divorce threads

How many of these threads do we need running at one time???

how many of any single subject do we need running??? ( 4 currently that i see )

we have had ( probably still do ) Catholic threads, divorce threads, gay threads..... and many others, several of the same subj running at the same time.

taking up much room on the boards, and they all seem to cover all the same information......

is there a way of combining the threads? or if a new thread is started with the same subj, that it can void it if there is already a thread running? ( kind of like trying to sign in with some one elses screen name, wont let a person do it....)

I noticed all the threads about divorce to, and was wondering why so many.

It just happens that some people did not get into the discussion before, and wish to discuss it then. I don't think it matters if there are several different threads on one subject, all that matters is that each person from each thread may have a slightly different yet simmaler question. Grouping them together might just make them feel like their question isn't being respected, and it may not be answered in the right context. Now if the entire board was filled with "divorce" threads there would be a problem...but now, it isn't that bad.

what I was saying, is that in one catagory, there are three threads on the subject that are currently ( like in today and yesterday ) running, not threads from even a week ago, or month or year(s), but just the past two days.....

I can understand not locating a thread that ran three years ago, or even a month ago, for in these forums, they get burried fast, but three in one catagory running at the same time.......

irritating at the least..... even with me, i find my self saying about the same thing on multiple threads.... am trying to keep from doing that by trying to keep track of which threads i am active in... and not double posting in another with the same subj.

this has happened many times, even with the Catholic threads, or the Bush Bash threads or the end times threads or the microchip threads and and ........ well, many times there are multiple threads of the same subject, and if read, they are all saying the same thing...

You have the choice, like we ALL do, to simply NOT click those threads open, dont you ?

What is with the sarcasim. Somebody just making an observation gets their head bit off. Not very cool!

I don't think that making duplicate threads is intentional...no one is doing it on purpose I think. If we make all these no multiple posting rules people will just get lost. You want to encourage people to post, not be afraid of duplicating something already posted.

it takes a heck of alot to irritate me..multiple threads is not one of them..there are so many new people around all the time and to go through the pages to see if there is a same topic they want to post just doesnt seem plausible..if its on the same page i guess fine..but to go back and back..nah..
