Let's look back into history. Many immigrants come to the US from Italy,Poland,Russia,Hungary and Ireland and many

other countries. They came to New York City through Ellis Island 1892 to 1954. 12 million immigrants went through Ellis

Island from very bad situations from where they came from. Many wanted to come to the US to start a better

life. Many were treated poorly because they came to the US from another country and were treated poorly such as

the Irish. Many of our ancestors came to the US in this way.

Today we are looking at the same situation. Immigration today is a very controversial topic. Of course we

want to keep the bad guys out. The Cartel and those who break the law and do some really bad things. Yes,

let's keep them out. But the U.S. spends money on some things that are a waste of money such as:

1. 518,000 the federal government spends to study how cocaine affects

the sexual behavior of Japanese quails

2. The government spends 3 million dollars a year to watch hamsters fight.

3. The government spends one million dollars a year to print documents

that no one will ever read.

4. The government spends 1.2 million dollars a year to research the social

habits of monkeys.

5. The government spends $35,000,000 a year for phantom clinics which

are fake clinics.

The ridiculous spending goes on and on.

The US has said that bringing in some of these immigrants is costing them a lot

of money. Maybe they should prioritize where their money should be spent to

maybe help some people in need.

Butwhataboutism shouldn't be part of the discussion. At the time many immigrants were also turned away due to disease and ill health. There was a very strict vetting process in place to protect the existing citizens. Do you ever ask yourself where these exotic outbreaks of various diseases originated from in our recent past? Sex trade and other items trafficked?

I see many conservatives like me who are excited with the idea of mass deportations.  I just wonder if they have thought through what that would look like.  They are going to use the military.  So, are we talking about military personnel asking people for their papers and rounding them up into trains, airplanes and busses?  Are we going to see the diary of Anita Sanchez instead of Ann Frank?  Democrats invited them here, allowed them in, flew them around the country, gave them money and free housing.  Does that sound like something you do for illegals who broke the law?  It was wrong, but they did it anyway and Republicans sat back and did nothing.  We can't just start dropping off tens of thousands of people into third world countries and expect them to be ok.  I'm expecting starvation, death and sexual abuse for many women and children if we do this.  I want the gang members, drug dealers and criminals to go.  I would also try to send back as many single men as possible.  Families, women and children I would try to work with.  First, shut down the border.  Pass laws with severe punishment if you hire illegals.  Next, give families that want to be contributing Americans green cards and a path to become citizens over a five year period.  Work, pay taxes, obey the law.  It would be kinder and cheaper than just trying to ship everyone back.  It's not like they are all just going to get in line and let you send them back.  It's going to take hundreds of billions of dollars and God knows how many people to round them up.  It doesn't seem possible.

Only 2% were denied at Ellis Island. That is true. Many who come in through Ellis Island had very thorough exams. Those

coming illegally to the US are not examined being disease to the US.

Excited about the deportations? It actually saddens me. Perhaps Satan is working with the authorities regarding

in immigrants. I am sure it makes God sad.

Does it remind you of the repercussions of the Fugitive Slave Act, 1850 (which made Millard Fillmore so unpopular)?

I know there are significant differences, but there may be historical parallels. I do prefer to comment historically rather than politically.

Up here there is the Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, Halifax, NS (similar to Ellis Island).

That would be interesting. Do you know that in the 1800's there was what was called "The Underground Railroad". Many of

those who were called the"conductors" secretly transported the black slaves to Canada where they would be free.

Hi @missmuffet Yes and there are historic sites in Ontario about the Underground Railroad. There is a church building in Buffalo, NY, near the Canadian border (where  family of Grover Cleveland had links, if I'm not mistaken) which was involved with the Underground Railroad significantly, since the suburb in which it is located is across the river from Canada.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
