EZEKIEL 28:25-29:21

The prophet speaks through the Holy Spirit and affirms that even though Israel has been scattered throughout the countries of the world, they will be returned to their land in the future, it is already happening, Israel was recognized as a nation in 1948, and since then, the people have been returning.

One positive thing to dwell upon is the Jewish people made known to the nations of the ONE GOD, Adonai-Elohim-YHVH” and through the migration of the Jewish peoples to different parts of the world, we now have the Ashkenazim, Sephardim, Falashim, people groups which make up most to the Jewish peoples today.  These people groups have introduced many varieties of foods, customs, and ways of worship in today's Judaism, many are also Messianic believers.

Bad news for Egypt, just as the Israelites were scattered among the nations, the Egyptians will also be scattered among the nations for 40 years. Egypt will be desolate and peopleless for this period, which will probably happen during the millennium.  The Egyptian people will return after that time, but Egypt will never be prosperous.  Since the fall of Egypt after the time of Passover, Egypt was conquered by the Babylonians, the Greeks, and Romans.  Even today, Egyptians live in many countries, but Egypt has never been left completely without people and animals, at least not yet.

Yet a good note to ponder on, Egypt opened its doors to receive young Yeshua with Mary, and Joseph when they were fleeing from Herod.  There are quite a few believers in Egypt today, making up the “Coptic Church”

MATT 24:1-51

Yeshua tells his disciples about the “end times” and we all know and have read this chapter, of “wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, etc.  As we look around today, we can be certain that we are living in these “end times” for sure, yet the end is not yet...we still have a way to go.  We have heard of many “false-Messiahs” leaders claiming to be “Jesus” yet we know better than believing on them.  When Yeshua returns, the “Whole World” will see him returning, what will modern satellite cameras, etc.

Verse 15 is interesting; It talks about the “Abomination of Desolation” set up in the “Holy Place” in the Third Temple.  This takes us back to Hanukkah, reminding us of Antiochus Epiphanes, who set up a “Statue of Zeus” in the Holy Place.  The future Anti-Messiah, a second “Antiochus” will also set up a statue, perhaps of himself, and command all to bow down and worship it.

Verse 30 talks about the “Sign of the Son of Man (Ben Adam) shall appear in the Heavens, and all the tribes (peoples) of the earth will mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with all power.  We might ask ourselves, what is this sign? It must be visible since all will see it.  Some might say the “Star of David” but that existed even before the formation of the Nation of Israel in Egypt.  Many believe it will be the cross, the instrument of suffering and death, but for us, the sign of salvation from our sins.

Yet why do the peoples of the earth mourn? Should they not be joyous of Messiah’s coming? Happy that the tribulation will end and HIS kingdom established?  One thought is that those “peoples” might be the unredeemed, the lost that follow the Anti-Christ.  They know that their end is near and that their leader will be vanquished and thrown into the fires of hell.  They also fear for their fate as well. Yet many will remain alive on earth and will have to subject themselves to Messiah’s millennial rule, like it or not.  What an opportunity for them to accept Messiah Yeshua with all heart and willingly submit themselves to HIS rule.

We, as believers, will return with him.  We are his servants and we must be around and occupied with the Master’s work, HIS work is to share the “Good News” of Salvation with all who are willing to hear, and to teach HIS Word to those who wish to learn it and apply it to their lives, thus is the work of Torah teachers and Sunday School teachers, pastors, rabbis, missionaries, etc…

The gospel will be preached to the whole world, which is happening now, we need to be ready for his return, those of us who are alive will be gathered together as well as those who have gone on before us and who are now in heaven, we will be ONE FAMILY and share life in the Millennial Kingdom of Yeshua and for all eternity.

Knowing that Yeshua is returning soon, we should do as much as we can to witness to others.  Introducing the gospel to those who have ears to hear, who want to hear.  We can hand out gospel tracts, there are "online missionaries" who reach out to the lost and to those who want to learn more about Jesus and the Bible.  (example) GMO (Global Media Outreach).  I have been part of that outreach for the past 7 years (in Spanish).  We should measure our time wisely.  Time is short, what we do now for the LORD will echo throughout eternity.

I know it's kind of petty, but I think The Holy Spirit is speaking through the Prophet, not the reverse.  Whichever, what they said is pretty important.

I think I have a legitimate question here. What constitutes a modern Hebrew? Since the time of Moses the Israelites were race mixing. So with over 2500 years of interactions with other races, what is the standard by which we measure a modern " Israelite"?

And in terms of salvation (most importantly) does God even care what background we come from?

And in terms of salvation (most importantly) does God even care what background we come from?

The Covenant of Promise is made with Abraham "and his SEED". In Genesis 1:11-12 God laid forth a LAW of KINDS. Everything with seed in itself will reproduce according to its kind. On this law is based the deity of Jesus. What is sometimes done by those interested in this subject, is they look for "thoroughbred Jews". That is, both the man and the woman stem from Jews. But this is not how the Bible judges the matter. In the genealogy of Jesus w witness occasions where one of the pair is indeed a Gentile. That means that just one must be traced back to Abraham. It also means the same looking forward.

But even more than this is our lot. God did not make any Covenant with the Gentiles for inheriting the earth. It is made to Abraham and his seed alone. Now, normally, the only way to become seed of Abraham is by bloodline as explained above. And since the children of promise are via Isaac, you ans I would only be eligible if we were of the 12 Tribes. That would mean also that we would be under Covenant of Law. But God solves this in a Masterful way. According to John 12:24 we are all grains of wheat coming from Jesus in death. God counts us a IN Jesus when He died and released as seed. Thus, Galatians 3:28 can say that in the New Man are no Jews, but in the very next verse, tell us that we are seed of Abraham because Jesus was a seed of Abraham.

Thus, God cleverly makes us partakers of the Promises but not under the Law.

But even more clever is that God seals the deal with TWO MORE maneuvers. Two kingdoms are subject of Promise. First, the Kingdom of Canaan for which Land circumcision is required. Second, when Abraham refused the spoils of the world, it was extended to the Whole Earth (Rom.4:13). The stipulation for this was rebirth and Baptism (Jn.3:3-5). Since our Lord Jesus is the Vehicle for rebirth (Jn.1:12-13), we become HEIRS to the world by rebirth. As if this is not enough, God adopts us. Adoption does not use bloodline, but it is legally binding on the Father that He administers the INHERITANCE in His son's favor.

But returning to our theme with this information, we at once see that to inherit Canaan, one needs to be seed "according to the flesh". Ezekiel deals with their resurrection and gathering. So does Daniel 12:1-2. But for the Kingdom of Heaven be set up on the whole earth (as Daniel 2 predicts), a New Creature is created (2nd Corinthians 5:17, Eph.2:15), and our resurrection and gathering is regulated by 1st Corinthians 15, 2nd Corinthians 5 and 1st Thessalonians 4.

Do you think it might be as simple as one kingdom, eternal in the heavens, One shepherd, Jesus Christ, one fold, one seed .....all who are saved in Christ? A new heavens and a new earth?

Revelation 21:22-27

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

[23]And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

[24]And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

[25]And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

[26]And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

[27]And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

I believe when Jesus comes we will immediately be in this glorious kingdom. No more death, no more sin- cursed earth to hang out in for a thousand years while waiting for the jews to  "finally" come to Jesus .....none of that.

Overall, you are correct. All rule stems from heaven. There is therefore God's Kingdom and the rules are heavenly. One City speaks for this kingdom on earth, and it is heavenly in nature and construction. But this city caters for THREE distinct peoples. There is the Wall with foundations named after the 12 Apostles. There are twelve GATES, each with the name of one Tribe of Israel. And there those of the Nations which seek to enter the Gates. Tracing the genealogy of these three peoples shows that God dealt differently with each one. The walls are precious stones which signify the transforming work of changing wood into a gemstone. Not so the Gates. Not only is a wall intrinsically different to the gate, but they fulfill different purposes. A wall keeps intruders out while gates let non-intruders in. The gates are Pearls signifying righteousness - Jesus being the Pearl of Great Price (Matt.13).

And so God alludes to THREE different seeds given to Abraham. Jesus, born of the Holy Spirit from the womb which "seed" would bring the holy Spirit to men (Gal.3:16-19). The Church with its birth from "ABOVE" as "stars in heaven". And Israel, with its birth via a man from Syria - as "sand of the sea shore". According to Genesis 1:11-12, the seed cannot cross a line. The one cannot become the other. Then the rules among these three peoples differ, as Romans Chapter 2 attests. Israel are judged by Law - obedience to Moses, while the Gentiles are judged by conscience. The Church is judged by obedience to Christ - their Head.

As to the Millennium and the rule of the rod of iron, I know that Utopia is taught widely. But the following facts forbid it, A rod is for correction and iron, unlike steel, is unbending. Such rule is  in place because the carnal mind is at enmity with God. The Nations who survive the Great Tribulation, will not have changed one bit. The same spirit in men that made Sodom and Gomorrah will still be prevailing. That is why God needs men and women who will unflinchingly deal with criminals. But, even if the nations were complaint, Utopia is just a dream - for the Beast, the false Prophet and the Goats will be in the Lake of Fire - TORMENTED day and night.

Man was put on the earth with TWO duties. (1) To display God  and (2) to SUBDUE (Gen.1.26-28). His presence was designed for CONFLICT. If Michael must make war to eject Satan form heaven, what will it take for Adam to eject the serpent from the Garden? And when Satan is loosed for a season at the end of the Millennium, he will have no problem deceiving millions who were born in the Millennium and who never knew the wiles of "the Prince of the Power of the Air". After a thousand years of equitous rule under Christ, the Nations will follow Satan AGAIN, And what is God's answer? WHOLESALE SLAUGHTER at Harmon-Gog!

Utopia would be nice, but when Lucifer left his estate, God's order and righteousness must first be established. The festering wound of rebellion must be dealt with, and this leaves bloodstains.

I personally don't see these times as being any worse than 100 or 300 years ago.  There are no more natural disasters than then.  People are much more civilized, less death from disease, less violence.

You are correct. Let's examine 2nd Peter 3:2-10

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2nd Pet.3:2–10.

There was a world standing "out of water" - the original creation in good order
Then there was the world  standing IN water - the condition of judgment in Genesis 1:2
Then this world, when restored is called "the world that then was" - Adam's world
Then that world "perished" - Noah's world
Since then the world has not been universally judged but is "reserved" for judgment
Then IN ONE DAY two things will happen: 1. The Lord will come, and 2. the surface of the earth will be purged by fire
This ONE DAY is defined as 1,000 years

That is, within the Millennium TWO judgments take place. The end of the Gentile domination of the earth, and, 1,000 years later, but still within the day, fire will purge the earth. In Mathew 24 - the LORD will come as a Thief, but in this text the DAY comes as a thief. A thief always comes for something valuable. From this text, and the introductory text of Chapter 1 the day will come for THE KINGDOM - the time when Israel is restored and the rewarding of them who followed Christ in this age. Remember, the Jew has TWO issues to which he would like answers. 1. The Covenant of Promise, and 2, the Messiah. Both these issues are the subjects of the prophets. (e.g. Dan.12:1-2 - the judgment at His Coming, and, Isa.66:22-24 - the judgment after 1,000 years).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
