It like someone being born with severe down syndrome?

Individuals with low IQ and severe cognitive challenges are hardly able to comprehend the issue of spirituality and our standing with God, when they can barely speak.  Think of our population in the Mod-Severe range of the Special Education population.  With so many people in this category, it will be up to Jesus to make the determination...

Yes, that is what I hope as my Mum would fall into the low education/IQ category as she didn't have much education as shes almost completely deaf, was abused when young etc so its not her fault. She has a heart of gold and would literally starve if it meant helping someone else. She's been a carer her whole life and I really hope God has mercy.

My Dad is pretty bright and when I asked him recently after church if he truly believed or if it was just for the sake of it and his response was "Well, its got to be true" thats good enough for me!

My Stepdad, not very bright but doesnt have the problems Mum has but i do love him as well and not sure what I can do as he will have zero interest. I know Jesus said something like for those who don't want to hear, dust off you feet and move on, or words to that effect!

My brother, part of me doesn't really care for reasons I don't want to go into a public forum. I'm not saying I want him to go to hell. I'll just leave that one be

As for my own IQ well thats questionable lol. I did a test a while back and got an extraordinarily high score but I think it was a fluke as I guessed a couple and didn't want to do it again as it hurt my brain!

Yes indeed! AND Jesus will never make any mistake, or have to apologize for His decisions. His decisions will be the perfect mix of justice and mercy and love. I don't fully understand how that mix works, but, Jesus plainly stated in the gospels that He wanted the children (And I would say those who have the mentality of children) to come unto Him, and that He loves them.

Even guesses are ok because they are mostly done by us evaluating which guess would be the most correct answer. I 'guess ' it depends on the type of question we are working on . . .  LOL.

I have 2 autistic grand children. One is freaky smart and gets bored easily with most school work. He does math in his head, looking at an math problem and calculates the correct answer in mere seconds. When asked to show his work he replies 'Why? is it the wrong answer?'. His brain is wired so that math problems are not problems at all but just an kind of language that he lives in normally. The issue with him is that socially he is backwards and has problems relating to people. We are praying for his social skills to be 'healed' so to speak.

My other grandson is smart but non-verbal for the most part. He has tested having an high IQ but that seems to be trapped inside his autistic brain so to speak. He gets frustrated not being able to express himself like he wants to and then often acts out in typical autistic behavior. We are praying for his healing and behavioral issues.

We are praying for Both grand kids to know Jesus and His love for them which transcends their mental abilities . . . .

My older brother passed away years ago and he didn't believe in God and he led a very bad life. He was loving to our parents and to me, at least in his own way, but he was essentially a lost soul and was always in trouble with the police and did some despicable things. He died from an overdose. I know he's in Hell being tortured forever for his choices. I can't really bear to think about it because it's so sad for me. Will Jesus remove my memory of him when I'm in Heaven so that I won't have to think about him anymore?

No we are not going to loose our memory.

We will get a lot of advice in our lives but it is necessary to get Biblical fact... that is why God had it written all down:

The memory of all this will be removed at the presentation of the New Heaven and Earth

Isaiah 65:17 (KJV)

[17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

1 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV)

[8] Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

[5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

My friend @missmuffet gave me, in this thread, Psalms 9:5-6 ... what a wonderful blessing to grow together with His Word!

Did Jesus forget His Apostles, or His Elect?  Did Jesus forget His promises?  Does Jesus forget to return?  Did Jesus forget His family?

The forgetting does not occur till the new heaven and earth

Knowledge will cease:

1Cor 13:8

Rev 21:1-5

Isa 65:17

Psalms 9:5-6

Some contend that the earth will be renovated but according to God's Word 'all things will be made new' ... God is going to make all things new

1.            new things, Isa 42:9   Isaiah 48:6

2.            new song, Isa 42:10 (cf. Rev 5:914:3

3.            something new, Isa 43:19 (cf. Rev 3:12)

4.            new name, Isa 62:2 (cf. Isa 56:5)

5.            new heavens and a new earth, Isa 65:17

Isa 66:22 (cf. 2 Peter 3:13)

The "new" day (cf. Rev 21:5) was, in reality, the day that God always wanted for humans, but

the Fall in Gen 3 caused a terrible disruption! It is surely possible that the Bible's imagery of heaven is a restored Garden of Eden (cf. Rev 21:2).

Wouldn't heaven be reserved for Christ's spiritual family, i.e. those like-minded souls determined to do Father's Will (Matt. 6:9-13)?

1 Corinthians 15:50

15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit The Kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the [seventh] Trumpet shall sound, and the "dead" shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality [be born again as your spirit-being - John 3:3-7].

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
