Recommend a book that explains the meaning and significance of jewish festivals

Hi forum,

I am studying the scripture to understand certain concepts - like baptism of the Holy Spirit, Pentecost  and speaking in tongues. For a long time, everything I know has been based on teaching by others - and the things I have read in the English bible. 

I will like to start doing deeper study by understanding context of some of the bible verses - and I have decided to start by understanding jewish festivals. I do better with books - so I'll like book recommendations for this purpose. 

I found a few books on amazon, but since I don't want to read just anything - i'll like recommendation from people who are more familiar with the topic.

Indeed do a deep dive on every festival, but I can give you a summary understanding of what they mean, then a more detailed reason why they show a Pre Trib. (pre 70th week) Rapture. When Jesus stated no man knows the day nor the hour, he was referring unto when he returns for his bride, at the Feast of Trumps.

So, God gave Israel 7 Feasts to keep, and they had no idea that He was giving them a "Shadow Glimpse" at the whole history of the world through these 7 Feasts.  I could give you the Hebraic/Jewish name for each, I will just give it in English verbiage. There were 7 Feasts and Jesus has to fulfill all 7, though they did not grasp that at the time, and of course, many Jewish people still don't, but 1/3 will understand it all very soon.

 

Jesus Fulfills the Spring Feasts via his first advent: Jesus fulfilled all three

1.) Passover (Jesus' blood is our Passover blood on the door)

2.) Unleavened Bread (Jesus was WITHOUT SIN or "Unleavened")

3.) First-fruits (Jesus was the First-fruits of the Grave. He overcame Death as 1 Cor. 15 says)

Jesus is now fulfilling the Feast of Weeks aka the "Summer Harvest/Church Age"

4.) Feast of Weeks (Jesus is the head, we are the body, he is our high priest in heaven, and we via Jesus' direction are "Harvesting Souls for the Kingdom of God". We are in the Harvest Season now, and that season was all alone on the calendar, just like the Church Age is separate from the Spring Feasts & Fall Feasts)

Now we need to set up The Feast of Trumps JUMP. The Feast of Trumps always ended the Harvest season, so think of it as also ending the Church Age here. Now we know why Paul stated the Rapture would happen at the Last Trump, now we know why John in Rev. 4:1 stated Jesus' voice sounded as as a Trump. Jesus will end the Church Age Harvest by calling us home, hos voice saying come up here will quiver like a Trump and only we who are sealed with the holy spirit will be able to hear it. Israel were seen by God as Dead Men's Bones for nigh 2000 years, God rent the temple, signifying He left Israel to fend for themselves in Desolations. The reason God brought Israel back into the land was because once the Church Age is over, Jesus has to set up the promised 1000 year Kingdom Age which Jesus taught his disciples to pray for, "Thy Kingdom Come".......

Jesus gave us a clue when the Rapture (Pre Trib.) will happen, he said no man can know the Day nor Hour. These Feasts were on God Time, via a Lunar Moon cycle. And as we know a moon has different phases, no one could know the exact day nor hour that the New Moon would come in, it could come in on a Tue. just before the Sunset, the Next day on Wed. or on Thursday just after sunset, so in a 25-26 hour period the skies could have given them a New Moon, and they thus had no clue on what day nor hour it would come, but they could understand the Sunrise and Sunset patterns. This is why Israel were on the Lunar Moon Calendar. 

But Israel could know withing a few day period when that New Moon was coming, of course, so they knew "THE SEASON" and so should we. Jesus will fulfill the Summer Harvest/Feast of Weeks by blowing a Trumpet or Calling his Bride hoe and ending the Harvest Season/Church Age.

5.) Feast of Trumps ( Israel sent men into the mountains to spy out the New Moon, once they saw it they starting blowing the Shofar in 11 sets of 9 or 99 times, then on the LAST TRUMP or the 100th Trump, the Harvest Season would end, and it also meant that the Feasts of Atonement and Tabernacles were very near.)

6.) Feast of Atonement (What is the 70th week meant to do? It is designed to get Israel to repent, and Zech. 13:8-9 tells us 1/3 repent, then in the very next verse in Zech. 14:1-2 we see the Day of the Lord Arrives, or God's Wrath, so Israel repents just before the DOTL falls. Now Jesus can return at the 2nd Coming and will have Jews saying Blessed is he that comes in the Name of the Lord like the end of Matt. 23 says will happen. 

7.) Feast of Tabernacles (So, what does Tabernacle mean? It means to "DWELL WITH God", so Jesus is now fulfilling the Harvesting of Souls through the Church. He will call the Bride home via the Last Trump. Then Israel repents at the 1335, 45 days before the 1290 AoD, and 75 days before the Anti-Christ conquers Israel, thus Jesus will return and DWELL with Israel via the Kingdom Age for 1000 years. 

The 12 Feasts were meant to show us Israel's full future in  history, and the Gentiles who accepted Jesus as the Messiah are to fulfill the Summer Church Age Feast. Jewish peoples will fulfill the other 6 Feasts via Yeshua/Jesus.
