Recently, most of the hateful and angry rhetoric has been on the right, since Trump entered the picture. I used to call out Bill Clinton on his lies as well. I also made clear my opinion of his moving closer to China. As for Obama, he was pretty careful to stay away from outright falsehoods so as to avoid confrontation. While I didn't always agree with the things he did, I didn't see nearly the number of hateful or angry rhetoric from him. This anger and hateful speech and talk of retaliation against those the opposition didn't really take center stage in the White House until Trump came along so there's more to call out these days. That's all. Nothing partisan about it. When I see it, I call it out. I've just seen a lot more of it since Trump.

Here is the absolute truth:  God made us male and female. Anything or any thought other than what God's word says is compromising God's word, which is itself a rejection of God's word.

I agree that Christians should "oppose" homosexuality in all it's forms including marriage. I just think that Christians should spend their time and effort trying to share the Gospel with sinners rather than trying to get the government to outlaw sin. It's a fools errand. How many sinful things are legal? We can't stop sin! We can only call it what it is. I hear so many preachers preach on homosexuality. They trumpet how it's an abomination to the Lord and how it was punishable by death in the Old Testament. I hear very few who preach how a proud heart and a lying tongue are also an abomination to the Lord. I also rarely hear them preach that being divorced and remarried is adultery according to Christ and adultery was also punishable by death in the Old Testament. Just because one doesn't speak against the government's acceptance of sin doesn't make one complicit in the sin. If that were the case, was Christ complicit in the "infanticide" that was legal (and even mandated) by law in his day? The Roman law, which He was under dictated that if a man had a female child and didn't wish to raise them, they could leave them outside to die of exposure. It also mandated that any child born with a birth defect had to be killed by way of exposure. Did Christ speak out in defiance of these laws? No! Did that make Him complicit in these sins? Again, I say, NO!

Then if you are referring to Salem News out of Danvers, you're referring to a left wing, at the very least left of center, publication.

As I have offered many times in various threads: the enemy hates humanity because God chose us to bear His Image and join His Family. So the enemy wants to debase and corrupt that image. And of great importance is the typology of a man and woman being joined in order to procreate after “kind”.

That typology is a reflection of Christ and His Church Bride…reproducing after “kind”.

This is one of those ‘majors’ not taught, while lots of minoring is going on.

Governments are ordained by God and a part of God's order on earth. (Romans 13:1).  The fact that governments are corrupt does not negate God's ordination of them. 

Murder is a sin. Adultery is a sin. Theft is a sin. Lying is a sin.  Public drunkenness is a sin. Pedophilia is sin. Homosexuality is a sin.  And guess what? Governments outlaw these sins.
