You are correct, the festivals were given to God’s chosen people (a chosen people for His own through Abraham, after disinheriting the nations) to celebrate and observe. Are we not also grafted into those feasts by the blood of Christ?

1.      Redemption, the purchase price, Kinsmen Redeemer.

2.      Sanctification, burial, baptism.

3.      Harvest, Christ first of the harvest.

4.      Pentecost, receiving the Holy Spirit.

5.      Saved, Rapture, harvest.

I see a prophetic timeline in the feasts for Israel and the church, with the next prophetic event fulfilling the Rapture of God’s children of all time. I would also call the feasts the redemptive plan and story.

Spring Assemblies – Representations Already Fulfilled in Type

Here and in Part 3 are the 7 מֹועֲדֵי/yearly appointed times of the LORD that are also holy מִקְרָאֵי/assemblies. First, the three

Spring assemblies – representations already fulfilled in type:

1) first day of the חַג/Feast of Unleavened Bread, wherein the Passover sacrifice of a lamb was consumed, and by when all old leaven was to be discarded; 1st month, 15th day. Lev. 23:6-7

Temple part: Altar of Sacrifice.

Representation: Sacrifice of carnal acts and desires of the flesh, by means of repentance. And thereby, resurrection and salvation of the body from physical (= the first) death. John 8:34; Rom. 6:6-7

Fulfillment: The crucifixion of the body of Jesus, bringing to pass a resurrection of the dead. A resurrection to life, coming by means of our consumption of His body and His blood. Matt. 26:26-28; John 6:47-58; 1 Cor. 5:7-8

2) seventh day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread; 1st month, 21st day. Lev. 23:8 The day Israel passed through the Red Sea, thereby being delivered from the worldly influences of Egypt.

Temple part: Laver of Washing.

Representation: Water baptism. “…all were baptized into Moses…in the [Red] sea…” 1 Cor. 10:1-2

Fulfillment: “Baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.” Mark 1:4 The blood of Christ washes away the worldly sins of our souls, including worldly relationships and worldly doctrine. Leaven represents doctrine. Matt. 16:5-12

3) חַג/Feast of Weeks/Pentecost; seven weeks from the first weekly Sabbath after the first Feast day of Unleavened Bread. (That Sabbath being the day of the “Firstfruits Wave Offering.”) Lev. 23:15-21 Bread with new leaven (= the establishment of new doctrine) is offered up in the Temple. Lev. 23:17 The Day that YHWH established in Israel His new doctrine from Mount Sinai: the Ten Commandments. Ex. 24:1-9

Temple parts: Holy Place, with its 1) Lampstand: Holy Spirit anointing; 2) Table of Showbread: the bread/doctrine/Gospel of Christ; and 3) Altar of Incense: sacrifices of praise and intercessory prayer.

Representation: Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Fulfillment: The infilling of Christ’s disciples with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, seven weeks after He first ascended into heaven on the yearly appointed day of the Firstfruits Wave Offering. Acts 1 - 2:4

Autumn assemblies – representations yet to be fulfilled in type:

4) ‘Feast of Trumpets’ (lit., Memorial Sabbatism of Blowing Horns); 7th month, 1st day. Lev. 23:24-25

Temple part: veil between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.

Representation: Judgment announced, begins. Dan. 7:10d (A Jewish religious tradition says that the dead will be raised on this day.)

5) Day of Atonement; 7th month, 10th day. Lev. 23:27-32

Temple parts: Most Holy Place, with its Ark of the Covenant, whereon the blood of redemption is sprinkled. Lev. 16:14-15

Representation: Judgment sealed, for both the righteous and the unrighteous. John 5:28-29; Dan. 12:2-3

6) first day of the seven-day חַג/Feast of Tabernacles; 7th month, 15th day. Lev. 23:34-36a

Temple parts: Most Holy Place, and the angels whose wings overcover the Ark. ; Ex. 37:7-9 At this time, the raptured Church will be “standing before the throne [of God] and before the Lamb…” Rev. 7:9; Luke 21:36 “And the One sitting on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.” Rev. 7:15

Representation: Redemption from spiritual slavery and spiritual (= the second) death. At which time, the bodies of the redeemed will be made immortal, and taken to dwell within and under God’s heavenly Tabernacle.

7) Shemini [Eighth Day)] Atzereth [Closing-Up Assembly],” which concludes the yearly cycle of 7 Holy Assembly Days; 7th month, 22nd day, the day after the Feast of Tabernacles ends. Lev. 23:36b

Temple part: “…[there will be] no naos/holy sanctuary in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its naos/holy sanctuary.” Rev. 21:22

Representation: New Heavens and New Earth: complete fulfillment of mankind’s redemption.

Taken all together, the yearly cycle of “rehearsals” portrayed, in type, God’s whole Plan of Redemption for the human race. That process begins with the sacrifice of our carnal nature – which nature resulted from Adam’s and Eve’s choices in Eden – and concludes with the complete restoration of the redeemed ones before the face of God in the New Heavens, New Earth, and New Jerusalem:

Revelation 22:4 They shall gaze upon His face, and His name shall be upon their foreheads.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
