thanks guys, i felt so down last night, then i started saying bible verses and binding Satan and depression and evil spirits and then i said some of God's promises and that God hath given me a sound mind and a spirit of power and love and i felt better. then i asked God for me to fall asleep and i did. I woke up this morning and i feel a little better.

Way to go, DoK! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! :emot-talk:

Are you familiar with:

Isaiah 40: 11 & 31

Mark 9:24

Psalm 27:1 (might be 26:1 in your Bible) "The Lord is my light and my salvation..."

John 10: 7-18

Philippians 4: 6-9

And one of my all-time favorites because it speaks to Jesus' awesome sacrificial love for us........

Philippians 2: 5-11

Glad you are feeling a bit better. Stick close to Jesus, Daughter. His power is real.

God bless you,

Fiosh

How wonderful that you are doing something to help work it out.

God has gotten me through my toughest times. Sometimes I have to turn things over to Him every few minutes for awhile. Still, I ask Him to take my problems and control them, then I put them out of my mind. When I find myself worried again, I turn them back over to Him and focus on something else.

I find that repeating positive Bible verses to myself as I go to sleep helps me.

DoK have you seen a doctor? Im beginning to wonder if you have something going on that is giving you all of these thoughts. You should, and see a pastor too. You need more spiritual counseling than you can get on a website.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

If you read and observe the Ministry of Christ, and the ministry of the Apostles, it may help you understand the situation. Only once did Yeshua (Jesus) ask God to stop his suffering, that was his prayer in the garden of Gethsemane. Even then He said "Yet not my will but YOURS" meaning "Only if it is to serve your purpose" After Yeshua said his prayer he got up, knowing that nothing had changed, that he would still have to die and he had the courage to face it. In fact he was so refreshed by his trust in God that he was able to calmly heal a soldier that had his ear cut off trying to arrest Yeshua himself!

The Apostles, it would seem rarely, or never asked God to "fix" them or their situation. Paul is a great example. Despite spending most of his ministry in prison, he always rejoiced in the grace of God and theres no indication (as far as I know) that he prayed to God to get him out.

The lesson to learn is that rather than asking God to make us better or to fix our life up, the right attitude is to ask God what he wants us to do for him each day and to serve him despite our circumstances. If your eyes are on him and his glory rather than your ill health or bad situation (tho I know this can be very difficult) you'll please him greatly. God rewards the faithful, which includes you! :emot-highfive: I also find it a great blessing that the more concerned I am with serving God, the less worried I am about myself. We all fret, the fact that you feel this way doesn't make you a bad person and I'm sure each of us feels your sadness, I just know that the more I focus on God, the less I focus on myself, the easier it is to cope

DoK, I recently went thru a very long period of depression and finally ended up hitting bottom and just sat at the kitchen table and couldn't stop crying for quite a while. My wife called my Pastor and as well as praying for me, he suggested I see a counsellor or my doctor. I ended up seeing a Psychiatrist and a Doctor. Turns out I was suffering from clinical depression. An actual psychological condition due to a chemical imbalance. I was prescribed an anti-depressant and and within a couple of weeks I felt a lot better. My advice is that if you're feeling that down, and talking to a friend doesn't help, talk to your Pastor if he can't help you he can probably put you in touch with a counsellor you can talk to.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
