2 Open the gates,
That the righteous nation which [a]keeps the truth may enter in.
3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

Philippians Four:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When we commune with the Spirit in prayer, and abiding in His Presence, we receive a peace about our works of righteousness to act with boldness. If we were unable to attain a state of mind without doubt we would remain shackled by our own insecurity.

Romans 14:

21 It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.

22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

If we are unable to attain perfect peace, we would not be commanded to act without doubt, or with offense. The other half of the coin applies here.

James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Luke Eighteen:

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?

Prophetically Dubious?

Isaiah 59:

14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

Isaiah 63:

3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

All senses have a spiritual and a natural element. The natural senses are not metaphors, they are a reality that exists side by side with the spiritual.

@Marathoner, @Vine Abider, @PATrobas, @enoob57, @TheBlade, @Sower,

Start here, and there is so much more that can be added.

Ezekiel 3:10 Moreover He said to me: “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.

If you are listening with your ears a sermon, a hymn, a testimony etc...you must also listen with your heart for confirmation or contradiction...

Second Corinthians Two:

14-16 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?

Experiencing a fragrance with the presence of the Lord, or a stench from any and all that defiles, the sense of smell is highly relevant, especially when the Lord brings something to Remembrance, as scents are known to manifest with memories, and vice-versa

AI Overview

Yes, memories are often accompanied by smells, a phenomenon known as
odor-evoked autobiographical memory or the Proust Effect, named after the author Marcel Proust who described a vivid memory triggered by the smell of a madeleine pastry.
Why are smells so effective at triggering memories?
  • Direct connection to the brain's emotional and memory centers: Unlike other senses (sight, sound, touch, and taste), smell information bypasses the thalamus (the brain's relay station) and goes directly to the olfactory bulb, which is closely connected to the amygdala (emotional processing) and hippocampus (memory formation).
  • Associative learning: Strong connections are formed between smells and the experiences that occur while smelling them.
  • Evolutionary significance: Smell is one of the most ancient senses, crucial for survival in identifying food and danger.
Examples of odor-evoked memories:
  • The scent of cookies baking can bring back childhood memories.
  • The smell of sunscreen can evoke feelings of summer and beaches.
  • A specific perfume can trigger memories of a loved one.
Impact of odor-evoked memories:
  • Positive memories: Odor-evoked memories can evoke positive emotions, enhance well-being, reduce stress, and improve mood.
  • Negative memories: Smells can also trigger negative memories and intense flashbacks, particularly in individuals with PTSD.
Potential applications:
  • Therapeutic tool: Odor-evoked memories could potentially be used in therapy to enhance mood, reduce stress, and aid in recalling positive memories.
  • Memory enhancement: Associating scents with studying or learning new information may improve recall.
  • Supporting individuals with dementia: Familiar scents may help individuals with dementia reconnect with past experiences.
In conclusion, smells have a unique and powerful ability to trigger vivid, emotional memories due to the direct link between the olfactory system and the brain's memory and emotion centers. This connection has implications for both psychological and physiological well-being and is being explored for potential therapeutic and memory enhancement applications.

The whole of your post is violating that division that exists with Spirit, since Act 2, and natural elements of this world that will be burnt up and forgotten... this error will cause one to come to incorrect conclusions about the nature of Spirit and flesh...

Elaborate, if you can. None of this post is an interpretation of scripture, but a reflection of experiences no closed minded person has or will ever experience.

Once you explain how Acts Two established a division using something beyond your vague reference, we can fully examine how scripture actually supports or contradicts your contention.

What does a future "burning up" have to do with what we experience while in this present life? Your conclusions are your own, and of course you are entitled, but you have not established any point as an incorrect conclusion.

If someone cannot listen to a sermon with their ears and hear with their heart what the Spirit says in reaction, then you are handicapped by your belief, which contradicts sound instruction from scripture.

We are to use the Scripture to form our new minds on s/Spiritual matters and I have elaborated on this in past with you and seems without a dent in conversation of such... so a shorter list will be what of now will be in the eternal state? That is the Spiritual value system of God by the way!

And yet, someone must be born again to receive spiritual Truth. The scriptures are a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. Many have formed in their minds their ideas on spiritual matters by studying, learning languages, etc...and it is this method that error arises.

David Koresh studied Hebrew scriptures in Israel. So what? Pharisees were experts on scripture, and their interpretations were vanity. Your position denies the need to be born again.

Simple question then; how is being born from above to receive wisdom from above relevant if not applied to the correct understanding of the word, whether in reading, or listening to teaching and preaching thereof?

You must be born again to rightly divide scriptural Truth. How does a religion that does not believe in such things reach conclusions without error, without the confirmation of the Spirit?

Having the mind of Christ provides the means of receiving spiritual Truth from the Spirit. This is the removing of the veil in the reading of the Word.

1 Co 2:

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

2 Co 3:14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty

This is the perfect law of liberty, by the Spirit piercing the veil of the fleshly mind.

All things are legal for me, but no all things edify. All things are legal, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Let each decide and be certain in their own mind.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
