I 'knew' Jesus for a period of time..i'm very science minded though you see - I find it difficult to see passed certain beliefs.

ya know, kayface, we ALL do things that God would not approve of. but He LOVES us, despite our shortcomings. He desires to have a relationship with you.

God defies science. you ask how we can believe in something that we can't see... but we CAN see... how can you believe in the wind, if you can't see it? most people would answer because they can feel it, and they can see the effects of it. a scientific minded person like yourself might have a more complicated answer, a more educated answer, but the bottom line is, you know it exists because the effects of wind are tangible.

the same is true with God. the effects of His existance are very tangible. and when you have a personal relationship with Him, you can feel His presence, and experience little miracles for which there is no plausible, logical, or scientific explanation.

i have a testimony on this site somewhere, i think it's called, me, God, and a goldfish, or something along those lines. i hope you'll look it up and read it.... it's pretty amazing.

I've never really cared for Manson, either before I was a Christian or after I became one. Poor quality music and lyrics, meant not to do much more than a get a rise out of some people. He has succeeded rather well. Just my opinion.

I have seen stuff by this guy thats pure blasphemy but he needs our prayers.GOD doesn't want this person to go to hell even though we may hate the guy we need to love him.GOD open his eyes to the truth before it's eternally to late.

Why is speaking one's mind a good thing?: Because I think that everyone has a right to say what they think, and form their own opinions - although i'm not saying being intentionally mean or rude is right.

..Watch what we listen too? Surely people arn't THAT easily influenced or naive, we are our own minds

As I told you in your other thread in the "Welcome" form, welcome to Worthy! I think you are truly here looking for answers and I want to compliment you on how very nice you have been.

Speaking one's mind is not always a good thing; if I spoke my mind to a customer at work who was being nasty, I could get fired. Now while I know that is a totally different situation than Mr. Manson the same principle still applies.

Kay, do you realize where Manson got his name? From Charles Manson! Doesn't that speak something to you, Kay? Even if it is for the simple "shock" value, what of the families of the people that Charles Manson murdered? Do they think it's funny that a name like that was chosen?

Marilyn manson is mad at God due to things in his past that caused rejection in his life, so now he shakes his fist in the face of God. The only thing going for him in his bitter hate filled world is that he has a platform to climb up on in which to vent his hatred for God...and man.

He's a pitiful messed up soul, why would anyone listen to someone so desperately in need of help?

Marilyn Manson is a member of the church of Satan. I imagine he gives them money, so don't buy his CDs. Yeah, he took 'manson' from Charles Manson, and Marilyn, from Marilyn Monroe.

He wrote a book, and in the book he tell the storey of his girlfriend having a third trimester abortion. He asked the doctor if he could keep the dead baby, and he offered it as a "offering" to Satan. Sick, huh? But he did write a book, I will try to find the title for you, and you can really find out how backwards he is.

If marilyn manson has more of an influence on the minds of your children than you do, he is the LEAST of your problems.

I beleive him to be brilliant and talented. I understand that his song lyrics and performances on stage are kinda "bad" but I enjoy him.
